yes, but the problem is discerning what those morals and values are. For example some Muslims want to live in peace, others want war. Some Christians think women should be able to do whatever they want, some think they should stay at home and raise children if at all possible. Some people think birth control is wrong. There is abortion, death penalty, war, homosexuality; all is debated in different religions.

I believe that they are striving to uphold morals and values. No institution is perfect.

what is religous? it's faith not the institution in the first place. you mean practice what they preach? It's not about them and yes they should. but they don't teach scripture, not all of them anyway.

yes but only within the walls of their church and the people of their congregation.
i do not need their values put on my car/or doorstep. and i do not need the legislated into my bedroom.
