How many of you have read the Malleus Maleficarum? If you haven't, you definately should. It is the book that was used by the Inquisition to oppress and subjugate your long ago predecessors. It is (no joke) one of the most disturbing books I have ever read, and I read alot.

If you have read it, what did you find most disturbing about it?

In another question, I asked "What is illogical about theism?" Generally speaking the responses to this question were tied back to there being a lack of evidence. I'd agree that in order for something to be believable, it needs evidence. To me, it seems that there is plenty of evidence for God's existence, but that evidence is not acceptable to atheists. The argument goes like this.

1.) All that is knowable is the natural world
2.) Therefore, the supernatural world is not knowable
3.) Therefore, can be no evidence for the supernatural world
4.) Therefore there is no reason to believe in the supernatural world.

Hypothetical syllogism simplifies this:

1.) If all that is knowable is the natural world, there is no way to believe in the supernatural world.

So, is it really a lack of evidence, or the presumption that evidence can't exist?

How much does the royal family cost the Uk each year. Not interested in idiots that write too much. I want to see some figures. And how much does it make in tourism. And pay in wages to all the people that are employed by the royal family.

People of all abilities, ages, and education levels seem to choose to do terrible things while knowing beforehand that what they are about to do is wrong. Some people do it for revenge, fear, sex, money, power, a cheap thrill, etc., and they often seem very proud of their excuse when justifying their behavior. What causes this phenomenon and what is the name of it? There must be some German word.

So, are people addicted to screwing up? Nobody is perfect, right? My mother would like to belive that Satan and/or evil spirits influence malignant behavior, but that's just ... well, what do you think?

Oh, and have you seen that movie Do the Right Thing? What did you think about it? How might it relate to this question... haha, like any of you will actually respond to all these questions. But I sincerely hope you do. I also hope you enjoyed earning 2 points for your 4-5 word answer.

I went to my friends youth group a few days ago and it was pretty fun, All my friends want me to come back, but the thing is I am not christian, I'm not religious in anyway. They know that, but don't think it matters.I don't know if I should. I don't want to pretend to believe in something I don't, and I feel like thats what I would be doing if i went.

My 78 year old father has started watching this preacher, buying his tapes, bible, and newsletters....and sending him a good bit of money. I was wanting to know if anyone has any feedback on this man and his ministry. He is on the t.v. each day, and sits at a desk to preach. I believe he is out of Arkansas.

I AM FORGIVING-no matter what the Bible says because God said FORGIVE ME-That's Mr. Yippy YahQQ! I am because his lasts words said so-if I am not-THEN HE IS A LIAR and so are all of his words and there is absolutely nothing you can do to convince me otherwise-I KNOW NOT WHAT I DO-I am FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! All I have to do is KNOW NOT WHAT I DO and I Am Good to go-I do not need you to tell me that scripture says anything else because your saviour has already stated FORGIVE Them (I am a part of them) FOR I KNOW NOT WHAT I DO! He did not say Condem them father but forgive them and so!

Now before you answer the question please keep in mind that Religion is suppose to be kept apart from state. Not all people who get married are Christians. People of all races and religions get married.
Someone else just asked this question and almost all of the "Christians" who said no, said no because the bible says no. Well I am not a christian and the bible says because I don't accept god I am going to hell. Does that mean since I am not a christian I can't get married neither?? Too bad I am already married! The bible don't control my life and it should not play any part in our laws for society.

That the USA is about to enter a totalitarian state?

I mean our constitutional rights are being chipped away, and police are allowed to overstep their boundries to catch crime, but most people are okay with it?

Am I missing something or are we handing away our lives to what we hoped would never happen to this country?
