"Herod the Tetrarch," king of the regions of Galilee and Perea during the time of Jesus (4 B.C.- A.D. 34). His brother was Philip. Herod Antipas was a son of Herod the Great. He is famous for beheading John the Baptist and for taking part in Jesus' trial. Jesus called him a fox.
