My 78 year old father has started watching this preacher, buying his tapes, bible, and newsletters....and sending him a good bit of money. I was wanting to know if anyone has any feedback on this man and his ministry. He is on the t.v. each day, and sits at a desk to preach. I believe he is out of Arkansas.

Also, a big problem is since I was adopted, he feels my parents were bad eggs...therefore, so am I. He thinks I am a Cainite...and that I am a descendant of Cain, the first murderer. I had a small tomato garden earlier this year and he said I could not grow anything because I am a cainite and I have been cursed and cannot toil the ground. "Weren't Cain and his descendants wiped out in the flood?

He's no good! Seriously. I've watched him a few times and things didn't feel right with a lot of what he said. He doesn't believe in some of the most basic Christian tenets.

Check these sites on and find out for yourself:

Murray is a nice guy, and is probably as good as anyone at reading scripture.

He provides his own take on things, as Protestants will tend to do, so you need to watch out for things that don't quite add up.

His views on the Trinity are a little strange, and he believes in an evil tribe of "Kenites", who are supposed to be the present day descendants of Cain, and literal sons of the devil, but that seems to be about it, for wacky stuff.

As Protestant preachers go, he's better than most. His TV Bible studies are easy to follow, they help people understand better, and he doesn't make outrageous claims or promises in return for money.

Your dad isn't doing anything wrong by buying his tapes, or sending him a few bucks every now and then.

TV time is expensive, and hearing the Word of God preached every day for an hour or two is a very good value for the money.
