could it be - that god is just a delusion?

christianity - 2 billion followers
islam - 1.5 billion followers

there are 3 possibilities -

1 - christianity is the true religion and there are 1.5 billion deluded muslims

2 - islam is the true religion and there are 2 billion deluded christians

3 - neither christianity/islam is true and there are 3.5 billion deluded christians/muslims

whichever of these is true - there are a lot of deluded people out there. Since there are so many deluded people - why should anyone think that what they happen to believe is anything other than a delusion?

As u well know, The student body is made up 5 offical unoffical groups. Jocks, Preps, Nerds/Geeks, Punks/Skaterborders,(i know its misspelled) and Goths. Jocks and Preps are popular, Punks and Goths are averege, and Nerds/Geeks are the losers. the losers as well as a few averege ones are considered outcasts and should not be allowed to be even near the popular groups. Why? Who knows. You could tell me. In any case, the outcasts uslly find there way, one way or another, to the internet. were they talk to each other in peace. This does not include Myspace or Myspace related sites. Why cant we all just get along? Why cant some of the nerds go out with a prep or two? Why dont the Goths have a certian school club other than sports clubs? Why cant the be other activites besides sports? These questions and more have been bugging me and i want an answer! An answer from You.

I need advice on my 2 serious problems which I believe will cause severe damage in my life if it is not resolved anytime soon.
My first problem is severe depression. The severe depression, which started at 16, made me extremely shy, introverted, and unable to make friends. I had hard time concentrating and I often felt like having a headache. Hence, my schoolwork suffered, was lonely all the time, and I was in sorrow most of the time.
My lust problem came to me as second-nature. I became very interested in opposite sex at 16. But determined to stay virgin till marriage, I turned to masturbation and porn to release the tensions. I never thought masturbation and watching porn could be addicting. I thought it is all natural, harmless thing that every young guy engages in. Now, I am having to fight the urges 2 or 3 times a week to be free of the temptations. The temptation is so strong that I give in to it more often than not.
If God won't help me, I think my life is doomed. Any advice?

Ok, so as some of you theists were ready to reason with me, I thought I'd take this discussion forward. Let's hope something comes out of it-

1- You say God gave us free will, hence the chaos. Fair enough. My question to you theists is-- Why did God give us free will if he knew that his plan will backfire and innocents will be killed.

God is omniscient, right? How come he didn't know that his children will burn their playground.

He could have just foreseen it and changed it.

For instance, I only get to come home and visit my mom about once a year because I go to college in a different state. My friend offered to take me to the airport even though she had to wake up at 4:30 to take me to catch a 6:00 flight. I tried to give her gas money for waking up so early and driving me to the airport, but she wouldn't take the money. She just told me to have a good time and she would see me when I returned. I stayed with my mom for about a week, and I had a great time with my family. But when it was time for me to return home to go back to school, my sister would not even take me to the airport. My mom does not have a car, so I had to ask around and beg different people in my mom's small town if they would give me a ride to the airport. I finally did get a ride, but when I asked my sister why she wouldn't give me a ride, she said that it was not convenient for her! She said she was not a taxi cab and I should have offered her some money, or rented a car

One time I was going to my car in the parking lot and I saw this woman put the cart right behind my car, and there was plenty of space elsewhere.
I said "Oh nice" to her, and I offered to move it for her back to the carts rack. She said, Oh, I was going to put it away.

Once inside a shop where there was wrapping paper I saw a lady pick up a few rolls, and drop four of them and didn't want to pick them up. I walked over to her and asked her are these yours and picked them up.

Do you think these people have any sense of shame or guilt? or No conscience at all?
