why arent our eyes getting better?
why dont we grow wings?

In my last question I said an ape did not give birth to a human. What I meant by this is that it must have happened over a long time, with many stages in between. If we have dinosaur bones, why dont we have the bones of the animal in between? You get excited when you think you have found 1. Should the bones be everywhere? Bones from all animals that have evolved?

(I wasnt listening in biology when they taught evolution like it was a fact, so please explain to me)

Remember, he only did so for 3 1/2 years or so. So those people referenced as in Josephus and so on, would have had to come across his path during that time, and felt he was worthy of recognition. Was this true or was all the historical data supporting his existence written by someone that did not even live till after Jesus was crucified?

The collapse in to absolute, global chaos, anarchy, armageddon, whatever you want to call it, as seen in so many Hollywood movies (I'm inspired after recently seeing Children of Men at the cinema).

Or will we, as we have for the last few millenia, always witness our ups and downs, but in the end always remain fairly constant?

What are your thoughts- and, if you think humankind will crumble eventually, will it be in the near future in your opinion?

He quoted a reference to the violent nature of islam, and what happens? Muslims get violent, start riots and kill a nun. Kind of proves his point doesn't it? They are intolerant, and yet they are not criticised for killing jews and burning churches. It's time to stop pandering to these people, why apologise when you've done nothing wrong

in india, some decades ago, such women were considerd with stigma, with no fault of theirs. even divorce was not easier then. if they happen to like some body, society would criticise them as wayward, !
i would like to know from both indian answerers, as well as from other parts of the world, what is the status of such women in their countries, and how do such women, whose lives have become miserable, due to loneliness, no kids, desire for male company, finding some purpose for living life, craving love, are tackled ?
what is the pattern of an indian society, in the past, and now ? will the society take kindly with them ?
how about in other countries ? any similar problems ?

I had this man who volunteered to train me. During the first ten hour session, he introduced me to all the partners and was constantly explaining things to me. He's good looking, kind, and I have to admit attractive, but I would never mix my building career with personal life and made sure I didn't show it. Near the end of the shift, we went back to headquarters where he had some things to do before he left. I stuck around to spend time with the other partners while everyone was finishing up work. My training-partner left so suddenly with barely saying goodbye, which seemed uncharacteristic. As I left the building with his partners, they were like "what was his rush all about" and then they told me he had a wife and kid on the way. I had no idea, I thought maybe he had a girlfriend at most, and out of all the talking we did.... he didn't mention them once!!
Now I have a bad gut feeling. I did't think I did anything wrong, but something's not right. what the hell could this be?

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

This verse Explicitly says that God purchased his church with his own blood,now God is a spirit..and spirits dont have flesh and blood,so they must be talking about Jesus Christ being God almighty correct?

I'm beginning to think so. Has anyone else noticed this?

As a bi woman, I either learned or inherited my mom's taste for guys who look like they work, play, and eat hard, have a good amount of body hair, and are a bit goofy. I've mentioned Tony Stewart, the race car driver; I also like Larry the Cable Guy. And that's the type I look at in real life, too.

Gay and bi men tend not to share that taste, unless they're part of the "bear" subculture. And what the gay and bi men I know do look at, I wouldn't look at if it was 2 am and he was the last man in the bar!

Has anyone else noticed that tendency? Have you seen something different? And what do y'all like?

I ask in "Other--Cultures and Groups" to get straight responses, too.

How do you benefit?

I'm not an athiest or a christian, but people often try to share their beliefs with me. I just say "No thank you", if I'm not interested.
Sometimes, I let them tell me what's on their mind. I listen and offer supportive feedback.

What would happen if you didn't need to correct them?
Would you disappear if you didn't jump up in disgust and protest?
Would part of you die?
