I am getting married within the St James area - can you recommend a picturesque church (Church of England) which is appropriate for a lovely wedding.

Not familiar with any specific churches, but if you don't live in the parish you will need to be on the church electoral roll (not to be confused with the Electoral Register, i.e. that registers you to vote). To be on this you need to attend regularly for about six months at the church, and at least one of you needs to have been baptised.

Alternatively, you can get authorisation from the Archbishop, however I'm not sure you'd have much success if your reason for getting married outside your parish is to get a picturesque church.

Hope that helps. The CofE website has a good page on this.

I think it may be up to the church, though when I married in Westminster we still had to go to the registry office in Marylebone and fill in a form giving our addresses. Some places might charge you more as a non-parishioner.

A suitable 'donation' to the vicar of your choice should clinch the deal!!
