I had this man who volunteered to train me. During the first ten hour session, he introduced me to all the partners and was constantly explaining things to me. He's good looking, kind, and I have to admit attractive, but I would never mix my building career with personal life and made sure I didn't show it. Near the end of the shift, we went back to headquarters where he had some things to do before he left. I stuck around to spend time with the other partners while everyone was finishing up work. My training-partner left so suddenly with barely saying goodbye, which seemed uncharacteristic. As I left the building with his partners, they were like "what was his rush all about" and then they told me he had a wife and kid on the way. I had no idea, I thought maybe he had a girlfriend at most, and out of all the talking we did.... he didn't mention them once!!
Now I have a bad gut feeling. I did't think I did anything wrong, but something's not right. what the hell could this be?

Your own guilty feelings for being attracted. Not that they are wrong.... what is wrong is your feeling guilty. Been there... done that.

The fact that he did not mention his personal life shows that he was keeping it on a professional level. Men usually do not share their personal lives much with people they know, let alone someone they are just getting acquainted with.

He changed into respecting the pro distance that would favor to be maintained in an workplace environment. he's lower than no requirement to instruct any component of his own existence to you. really on a first assembly. it really is professionally irrelevant. It appears like he's a gentleman and irritating to get abode to his spouse who's awaiting. it really is a extra exciting and intimate time for husbands and better halves than i imagine you would comprehend (no longer being married -- no longer attempting to be sarcastic or cruel). Thank your fortunate stars that you operating with such an outstanding guy.

if it is your principle, not to mix professional and personal life, you have behaved correctly. as far as your feelings tell you, i don't understand, why should you feel out of place ?
perhaps he didn't mention his marital status, in order to create interest, in the wrong direction.
next time you meet him, don't even indicate that you felt it bad about his not wishing you goodbye ! be curt, professional, and business-like. even if you liked him, he is a married man, and a would-be father !

don't worry about it. just take one day at a time and see how things work out. just play it calm cool and collected as this job may be the best one you ever had. sounds as though it is really to early to tell. you are correct though as business and pleasure don't work well together.
