The collapse in to absolute, global chaos, anarchy, armageddon, whatever you want to call it, as seen in so many Hollywood movies (I'm inspired after recently seeing Children of Men at the cinema).

Or will we, as we have for the last few millenia, always witness our ups and downs, but in the end always remain fairly constant?

What are your thoughts- and, if you think humankind will crumble eventually, will it be in the near future in your opinion?

Thanks!

We are seeing it right now! I believe that we have created enough devistation to our world and humankind that the end times are near.

No, I do not believe that total global chaos will be seen in our day, this has been the thoughts throughout all centuries, and they will still be talking about it 100 years from now.
If you look back in history, you will find that wars have always existed, we're just playing with different weapons, that's all, Man does have the capability of destroying, but they won't do it, so relax, and enjoy your life, contribute where you can, and lend a smile to the guy walking down the street.
