Asking on behalf of my wife, who's lesbian, shaven-headed for reasons that don't relate to her sexuality, and a bit frustrated with some ignorance she encountered today.

While reading a book on my sofa, I was lifted up and thrown 10ft in the air against a wall. No one was in the house but me!!! I've got a big hole in the wall along with a severly bruised back to prove it.

After all, Jesus healed the sick, for FREE, fed the poor, for FREE, and forgave His enemies. These ideals are regarded as wrong by most Republicans.

I'm an alien from another planet. I come to Earth and am fascinated by religions as I have nothing of the sort on my planet. I don't experience emotions and I'm purely rational. How do I know which religion is the correct one? Wouldn't I be most likely to be atheist or agnostic?

Today, I encountered several instances of the same exact words of Christ that were duplicated-word for word-in different books of the bible. Why?

Can it be condensed?

First, some background.

I recently answered a question from a female concerning her possible pregnancy and her obvious inability to make an adult-style decision. She wanted to get a pregnancy test, but she couldn't get the car keys; her boyfriend was sleeping.

She couldn't figure out what to do.

I answered, among other items, that she should some simple common-sense to figure out her dilemna. Some of my responses provoked a response saying I was too harsh. (No inappropriate language was used) I also responded stating she should use "correct style" English so that her question would be more clearly understood.

Now the question for all respondents.

Is it acceptable for respondents to questions to say exactly what's their opinion, or should their opinions be "sugar-coated" so that nobody's feelings get hurt?

I had always believed "direct answers to direct questions," but yesterday proved me wrong; somebody's feelings were "bent out of shape" by my responses.

The men that wrote the bible were anointed by God. You people need to wake up and learn what is really going down. I think it will be too late for many of you. But all will come to know the truth no matter what you or I think. And for your information israel is alive an well to this day. You just don't know who they are. The Lord put the whole bible here, and if you knew him you would know that the Old testament and the new testement is the whole bible and they support each other. The Lord is perfect, you are imperfect. Stop going by what you think and go by Thus saith the Lord.

What about the use of foul language? Does it require a higher or lower IQ average in the audience to be persuasive?

What about curses, like "you're going to hell" and such? How smart/stupid does someone have to be to find that a persuasive argument?

And what of those who use these tactics? Do they see themselves a brilliant orators? Immature mentalities?

...Ever shook you up or challenged/changed your perspective of that faith?

I worked at a children's clothing store, and one day a priest came in and asked for my help picking out baby clothes. I figured he was donating them to a charity but... He was giving them to one of his secretaries at the church, a young unwed mother. He figured she was going to have a hard time and wanted to help her out. Have you ever had a similiar experience, where you expected one thing based on your perspectives of the person's faith, and were taken by surprise?

Some Muslims , because they cannot justify terrorism in Islam, what they do is , try to justify it by saying that Christianity has done terrible things. Now another persons mistake is not an excuse for you to do the same, especially when you claim Islam to be best religion.

The christian crusades have never been based on Bible or Jesus teachings. No protestant beheaded a catholic Shouting Praise to Jesus, But MuSLIM do it saying Allah Akbar

Look at the leaders of these two groups
One is Jesus who asked to forgive seven seventy times and forgive and pray for your enemies

Another one Nabi , sex Maniac , who fought and killed and gave orders to kill and torture and married so many women(he did not even think that Allah will take care of the widows and orphans, But then how can he get them to bed)

Islam founded by a terrorist , is terrorims while Christianity found by a peace loving man, but some christians are terrible.

Comment on the above please

Born into a Catholic family, I was raised by the liberal ideals of freedom and individuality... essentially making up your own mind about things and respecting other people for what they think as well.

Recently however, I announced to close friends and family that I was leaving my Catholic religion due to many reasons, but evidently, hypocrasy was the leading cause. I refused to go to church with people who "preached" about doing the right thing and the better good of humanity whom in turn, only left that building to practice just the opposite. Perhaps the beliefs of the religion are not what is wrong necessarily... but rather the men and women who are involved and have corrupted it so.

So I denounced all organized religion and switched to a Buddhist ideology of Karma and the balance of the universe. That does not mean I no longer believe in God, but rather... that I just want to be at peace again and feel whole, not corrupt.

Do you feel this way too sometimes about it all?
