You simply can't be gay and a Christian. The Bible has tough
words for those that sleep with their own sex, several times
throughout the Bible and God abhors it. Yes, we were all once
sinners, but now we are saved (sinners no more) if we have
given our lives over to the Gospel. You can't just keep on sinning
and think that's okay with God. Why would a Christian do lewd
acts? That kind of thing is from the devil, not God.The Media
tv and movies are trying to make gay relations seem normal,
but God destroyed Sodom and Gahamorrah because of their
sin of homosexuality and God is the same today, tomorrow, and
forever.

One can have the desires and not do it. In that way a person can be homosexual and a Christian. But the doing it is sin. Sometimes we drop the ball and go with the urges, as males would understand, we think with the head that is not on our shoulders. But to keep doing it, sometime GOD will be saying, "Are you with me or not, decide." There is place for a Christian to confront the fellow Christian, but I would expect that it were done carefully and prayerfully--not a rant on an open forum. You aren't exactly ranting, but mostly you are addressing the other crowd who doesn't feel bound to your rules and proprieties. I don't know what you were intending to accomplish by posing the matter that way, but I don't think it was exactly a good sales pitch.

You can be christian and be gay. That's like saying how can you be christian and be an alcoholic or a gambler or addicted to drugs. Christians aren't with out sin they are just foregiven. . Christians are a work in progress!Noone is perfect
BTW being something is not a sin.....the act of doing something is a sin.

I say that some people may have interpreted the bible far too literally and that a person who is gay is as free to choose to believe in God as anyone else. I know nasty manipulative Christians and gay people who are the best people in the world. What do you say about that?

Just because I am gay does not mean I act on those desires or lewd acts as you say. You could try working on your self-righteousness. God says there are none righteous no not one.

Being gay doesn't have a thing to do with being a christian! You can be very spititual and be gay-what is wrong with people-where is your brain? People are making theirselves go to hell for various reasons-but not for who u love! If that were the case everyone who ever had sex before marriage would surely go to hell! Anyone who ever stole anything would go to hell. Should i go on?????

You can. My best friend Is a Christian. And he was struggling with homosexuality. He was also sexually abused. U have to factor in that some people may be really confused. Satan deceives a lot people. He deceived a third of the angels.
Basically u can participate in sin and still be a Christian. I sin and I'm a Christian. Do you ever sin?
The problem is when they actually stop admitting it as sin. My best friend never claimed it wasn't sin. He truly is a Christian. One would only have to meet him to know.
Again we all sin.
That is the awesome power of forgiveness!!!!!
