A Mormon is a liar about spiritual and religious things and their Jesus is equal (spirit brother) to Satan/Lucifer. Mormons believe they are the spirit brothers and sisters of Lucifer. Mormon men love sex, power, and money - women and children are subserviant. They believe Christianity is Satanic, however their religion is compatable with Satanism. Mormons and Satanist believe the same things. Mormons and Christians do not believe the same things. My family has been Mormon for 5 generations - going on 6, and goes back to Utah in 1953 with Brigham Young, the Mountain Meadows Massacre, the blood atonement doctrine, polygamy, the Adam-God doctrine, Lucifer's priesthood, the bloody temple oaths, etc. - I know what I'm talking about. Check it out that their temples are decorated with inverted pentagrams and other occult symbols instead of the Christian cross. Mormons have a strong aversion to the Christian cross and oppose all Christian doctrines.

Lucifer is the god of the Mormon temple - it is his priesthood they invoke - Lucifer tells Mormons how to obtain "godhood". Godhood is what Satan promised Eve if she disobeyed God and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil:

If you really want to know then www.mormon.org is a good place to start. There are other sites, but some (just like any other religion) focus on things that seem bad or don’t make since. If you have specific questions, any member can help clarify. For example, let me help with some of the other answers here:

Mormons (we do prefer LDS) don’t believe in “Hell” but that everyone will get “awarded” what ever they earned.

Jesus did visit his “other sheep” in America and else ware after his ascension in the Bible. (Warning: this part is a little deep, but knowing this has no impact on whether we make it to “heaven or not) In the end we strive to be with Christ and God, like every one else. To this we need to be like them. If we are like God then that would make us a God also. After that, who knows? Sex may or may not have anything to do with leading new worlds, but it’s definitely not preached. (Even if it is, it’ll be with our spouse, no-one else)But right now we’re worried about this life.

That other website has a lot of things I won’t go into, but I will say of course we think we’re the only correct church. Who doesn’t? If we didn’t the church wouldn’t even exist. And the definition of a cult is way out of the scope of Mormonism. Look up the definition and you’ll find that we’re no more a cult then Catholics.

As far as the “special underwear”, yes it’s true. Although they come in different sizes and types; two or one piece, different materials and colors (although white is the most accepted). Their meaning is very special and sacred so we don’t discuss it. However is just like any other church wearing certain clothing for certain meanings. And polygamists are NOT LDS, they a sect from the old church. I’m not justifying it, but remember many Bible prophets had more then one wife.

Christ and Lucifer are spirit brothers, just like we are all brothers and sisters from God. The Book of Mormon is “Another testament to Jesus Christ”, “another gospel” is a misquote.

Man and wife become god together not just males (in my opinion, it’s the wife with the most power). Dark skinned people (Blacks, American Indians, ETC.) were not cursed, but carry a mark set on their ancestors before them for sinning. And it was not because of another life.

Lastly, Joseph Smith is the recent founder of the current church. But we believe that through him, the correct authority to act in Gods name, which was lost, is now restored. As for archaeological evidence, below are two points of view of the “Tree of Life Stone” I might add that some ancient America cultures believed in a white God, why would they if they never saw one?

Sorry, for the length. But there is a lot to any religion. I hope this helps a little. In the end it’s really up for you to decide what’s right or wrong about the information given to you.

A Mormon is what people call a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or LDS.
I will post a link to what we call The Articles of Faith. This is basically what we believe. I hope that you will read some of the posts from actual LDS persons, rather than some of the obviously uninformed and bitter persons. I guarantee that many of the posts have severe inaccuracies in them, and I would highly recommend you use your own judgement after reading some of the suggested websites. Just as Joseph Smith read when he was wondering which church to join, in James 1:5 - " If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

there are two kinds of Mormon. 1 believes in Mormon church (doesn't know a thing about what they are claiming to believe. Assumes that other smarter people have worked out the facts and that is good enough. 2 believes and casts aside the overwhelming load of inconsistencies in their beliefs and what church history, DNA, geography and science show to be true. They both have one thing in common. They want to belong and not upset their loved ones and friends by showing any doubt that the Mormon church is true.

Mormons believe in continued revelation. This means that they use the Bible, but on top of that, have received additional scripture (one called the Book of Mormon). They believe in Christ and that He is the Savior of the world. However, they don't believe like most other Christians that God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are all one being. They believe in all three, but separate, distinct beings. They also believe that we existed prior to coming to earth as Spirit Children of God. They have a prophet today whom they say speaks with God and receives revelations pertinent to todays society.
This is just a bit of it. I hear a lot of stupid things that people believe, but if you want to know what they actually believe, ask them, they are very open about it (at least the ones that know what they are talking about are...).

Basic beliefs can be found at http://www.mormon.org

The Church is having a worldwide General Conference this weekend, too! This is a great opportunity to hear directly from the Church leaders, including the prophet and the 12 apostles. Depending where you live, you can watch it on TV, cable, or satellite, or listen to it on the radio. Regardless of where you live you can hear it broadcast over the Internet in a variety of languages. Just click here: http://www.lds.org/broadcast/gc/0,5161,7050,00.html

They belong to the church of latter day saints. They believe a guy named Joseph Smith was a prophet who found some golden tablets with writing on them that had to be translated by an angel. They use The Book Of Mormon- which in their religion is used in addition to the Bible. In the beginning of this religion many were polygamists but I believe that is a separate sect now. They have many stranger rituals - like wearing SPECIAL underwear( a one piece undergarment) and being baptized for dead people. Check it out on line. I am sure there is plenty of info. Good Luck

Mormomism was founded by Joseph Smith. He came from a Protestant background, and as such, Protestant presuppositions form part of the basis for Mormonism. Even so, Mormoms do not hold to the essentials of Christianity. In fact, the goal is to attain "godhead". They use a third set of "scriptures" called the Book of Mormon. It was allegedly revealed to Joseph Smith and he translated it. It tells about a fantastic civilization that lived in the Americas (of which there is absolutely no archaelogical evidence for). In the old days, they practiced polygamy, although I've seen shows on TV supporting that there are "pockets" of Mormons who still practice this, even though the main church in Utah abandoned this practice. It was abandoned after statehood was threatened to be witheld from them. Suddenly a new revelation came and it was dropped. They wear a special underwear to protect them from evil. Anyway, interesting stuff.

Only good male Mormons become gods.

Their emphasis is on Joseph Smith Jr (founder) than the Holy Bible. Their religion is based on works and following the book of Mormon.

They also teach that dark skinned people are cursed from a prior life.

For a long time they also taught (don't know if they still do) that the Jews before Jesus came over to America and that's who the Native Americans are. However, clearly DNA has disproved this theory.

Always always alwasy ask questions like this from the source. You're just going to get a lot of incorrect answers on here. It would be like asking a Chevy dealer about a Ford. :)

Visit www.lds.org and click on basic beliefs. It is the church's official webpage. :)
