What do you do when you feel discouraged or not very happy? You still have faith and you still feel things will work out, but days are less enjoyable and all of the struggles and obstacles discourage you. I am fairly new to a community and am having trouble finding a church and making friends. That is making it more difficult. I also am not employed yet. But certainly, even you church going Christians experience discouragement. What do you do to maybe relieve some of that discouragment or sadness?

They tell people to be tolerant, and not to judge anyone. Then they turn around and portray everyone who is believed to be dominant subcultures in our over-all culture as tyrants, war mongers, and bigots.

They tell everyone to have diversity in the way of their opinions and to question all authority. What they mean is that it's ok to question the powers that be who are in positions of authority at this time. Doing that takes away their credibility, and by doing that it empowers the weasels in the media and Hollywood to brainwash the masses with their pathetic attempt at reconstructionism in our society. Also, by doing this they are getting to play God, after all, this IS what they want. They want to make God obselete in the grand scheme of things. The idea of God means that something out there would be greater than them. God ordains all authority, and by mocking that authority they think they can have the power themselves by reversing the roles through social reconstruction.

If that's true, why do you not chastize other sinners just as vehemently? Examples of sins just as bad as homosexuality (according to Leviticus): Tatoos, polyester, eating or touching dead flesh of non-kosher animals, men who shave their beards.

Pork prohibited in the Bible
The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible
prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus
“And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth
not the cud; he is unclean to you”.
“Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch,
they are unclean to you.” [Leviticus 11:7-8]
Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy
“And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud,
it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their
dead carcass.” [Deuteronomy 14:8]
A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.

Consumption of pork causes several diseases

logic and science. Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types
of diseases. A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm,
hookworm, etc. One of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which is in lay
man’s terminology called tapeworm. It harbours in the intestine and is very long.
Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of
the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it
can cause heart attack, if it enters the eye it can cause blindness, if it enters the
liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body.
Another dangerous helminthes is Trichura Tichurasis.

I was just wondering how strictly your everyday muslim observes the ban on alcohol. I know a lot of people in a lot of religions let one or two of the smaller things "slide". I know a lot of catholics use contraception, have sat down to bacon and eggs with jews and know short haired, meat eating sihks. I have also had quite a few beers over the years with muslims.

How common is that beer drinking in the muslim community and is looked upon as normal and indulged or horror?

Now I'm a firm believer in beer and think that we could all get along if we sat down and have a few. (PROPER beer that is - none of that mass produced **** like Bud-lite, Bud, Miller etc). Is there any chance of Islam "legalising" beer? (The other big advantage is the fundamentalist christians quite often don't drink, and the fundamentalist muslims wouldn't change so we could have our real ales in peace).
