If that's true, why do you not chastize other sinners just as vehemently? Examples of sins just as bad as homosexuality (according to Leviticus): Tatoos, polyester, eating or touching dead flesh of non-kosher animals, men who shave their beards.

Where in the new testiment does it say anything against homosexuality?

When the Romans 1:26 is understood correctly, it seems to imply that it would be unnatural for heterosexuals to live as homosexuals, and for homosexuals to live as heterosexuals.

READ THE WHOLE THING

Rom.1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Rom.1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. Rom.1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Rom.1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Rom.1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, Rom.1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Rom.1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom.1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Rom.1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Rom.1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Rom.1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Rom.1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Rom.1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Rom.1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Rom.1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

It's a little bit of a leap to assume that because sins are listed together, that they are "equal" in any specific sense.

We know that the penalty for all sin is death, but in Christianity this death is a spiritual death, or separation from God, both here and after. However there are sins "worthy of death", and in these cases we are talking about capital punishment.

If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. -John 5:16a

See, even in the New Testament the writers make a distinction.

So consider other sins that carried the death penalty, and you get things like:

Adultery
Bestiality
Idol Worship
Murder
Rape
Harlotry
False Prophets (leading God's people astray)
False Witness (for the purpose of framing another in a crime)
Kidnapping

All stuff a little more serious than beard cutting, and tattoos which did not carry such a penalty. This death penalty is not described as a punishment per se (after all , vengeance is mine saith the LORD)it is however a method God gives to "purge the evil from among you".

Christians don't use capital punishment for sin anymore, and perhaps that explains alot about our current condition. Frankly I would prefer the stern warning to the alternative.

God Bless,

Robert

Want to know the REAL reason that the Bible chastises male homosexuality??? Because homosexual unions produce no children and the tribe of Israel needed children - the more children, the bigger the tribe, and the bigger the tribe, the stronger the tribe became. Would you rather have an army of 1,000 or 100,000 if you lived in the ancient world? This is the REAL reason for the anti-homosexual statements in the Bible.

What is all this about?

Two wrongs make a right?

Or rather, a whole bag full of wrongs make a right?

So all the things you mention are heinous crimes too. Does that make homosexuality any the less tolerated by the Bible?

You're demonstrating a fundamental ignorance of Christianity by citing Jewish laws and claiming them to be sins. You can find actual discussions of why those don't apply to Chrisitans if you want to but I suspect that you're not really interested in anything but Christian bashing.
Homosexuality is denounced in the New Testament was well as the Old. That's more of an interest to Chrisitans.
Of course the real question is - Why do you care so much about what Christians think of you? I don't really give a rip about what homos think of me. I'm secure enough in my beliefs that people hurling invectives doesn't affect me at all.
Your concern couldn't come from the fact that, despite all of your bluster, deep down you realize that being a degenrate pervert is wrong, could it?

Most Christians say god looks at all sins the same. So getting boned in the *** is right up there with stealing a pack of gum.

Hell murder is right up there with stealing a pack of gum.

True homosexuality was created by God. Acquired (homo)sexuality was not.

"the bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to hetereosexuals. its not that G-d doesn't love the heterosexuals. its just that they need more supervision."
