the media. they are the ones who blew this out of proportion and misrepresented his speech. i remember when i first heard of this, the news mentioned that the pope said "so and so.....". then the next day, when it started to garner some reaction around the world the media said that the pope Quoted "so and so.....". then after it all got blown out of proportion, yesterday they started reporting that the pope quoted from 14th century byzantine emporer and that it was only a small line from his speech about religion and tolerancy and how they weren't his feelings or beliefs of islam, and all that (you get the idea). i mean, shouldn't the media take responsibility? they are so one sided. i guess they wanted to have something to talk about in the news. as if we don't have enough issues in the world to talk about.
