I have several favorite things to do at christmas time. The one thing I do is I go up to Christmas Lane with one of my good friends each year and we look at the houses that are totally lit up and decorated. After that, we go back to her house and we open our Christmas gifts together and have dessert. The other thing I love to do is go to the Christmas Eve Service at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. Mostly though, my favorite thing to do is spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family!!!

First it starts Thanksgiving night when we decorate the tree and house and start listening to Christmas songs. Then on Christmas, wake up, light the scented candles, make the hot cocoa with mashmellows, turn on the Christmas music, and go wake everyone up and watch them open the presents. I detest the cooking thing, but I love to sit down with my family and have a beautiful table with great food and eat it together while we're all feeling so close and loving. Merry Christmas in 98 days!

It's a tradition in my family to go to church on Christmas Eve and then all of my moms family comes back to my house and we have a dinner and then all sit around and open presents and talk about the year. There's just something about that night of the year; that no matter what has happened good or bad it just all goes away for a few short hours.

Most of the answers relate to white Christmas that we in Australia unfortunately NEVER HAVE at Christmas... So it would go..... open pressies, crank up the aircon for the oldies indoors ,hit the pool (usually with a Chrissie eve major hangover) Then lunch would be cold chicken/ham/turkey or seafood with salad plenty of drinking followed by a . .little lie down....Dinner would be a saying such as"WHAT YOU WANT MORE FOOD?" meaning heaps of food left over so help yourself The day after would be Boxing day so you watch either a cricket test or the Sydney to Hobart yaht race on the telly or go to the beach or do NOTHING!!!!!

Helping my uncle make homemade candy as gifts for the family.
Or making homemade apple pie while sipping a glass of wine. Or hearing my uncle tell a funny story (First Deer is hilarious!) Or driving up north to visit other family with the windows down! (We live in a warm climate.)
