Thats just it! We were meant to enjoy natural substances. Now, I will say that drugs that are derived from chemical processes should not be taken. But we are all mandated to indulge in nature!

It could be linked to the idea that some humans are able to use things in moderation in a way that is still healthy for their bodies; where some humans damage their bodies by using things in excess.
Take the plant they use to make cocain, this plants leaves are often used to aleviate pain. But, people went and concentrated the substance in the plant which aleviated the pain and created something which harmed bodies.
After all, all things one puts into ones body alters their physiology, it is just a matter of the extent something alters a body. Such as caffein can alter your physiology. You can get caffein too concentrated that could damage or even kill your body if you get a super concentrated amount.
Also, take into account, some creatures' bodies process certain substances differently. So, something might be harmful for one creature, and nutritious for the next. Like, I cannot eat sugar. It can cause me a lot of scairy health problems if i eat more than just a few grams of it in anything i eat. Some other people i know can eat it in excess.
Hope that helps to shed some light on possible reasons why. ^_~

God did not intend for man to corrupt and use his creations in such a way. These types of natural drugs harm you body, such as TOBACCO, and god did not intend for you to harm yourself with his plants. They are here for a reason, to show gods artistic power and to create oxygen for you to breathe, not oxygen for you to destroy by smoking these plants. There are many other plants in this world that could get you high, but man hasnt corrupted them yet. Doctors use anesthestics to put us to sleep and numb us, but whether or not they were created in a lab or not, they still have a source, which is nature. We cant just create the ingredients to make anesthetics, only god can. God also put people on this earth, but he certainly did not intend women to publicly show off their bodies for the pleasures of others. Humans have sinned and corrupted gods creation, and always will. If god made these things for those purposes, it would show that he wasnt perfect, which he is...so thats how you know that they werent meant to be used like that.

God also created wild animals, sharks, scorpions, snakes, etc., - does that mean you can cosy up to them, expect to have a fun time and get away with your life? The fact that God is the Creator is not to say EVERYTHING was meant for us to enjoy in the strict sense of the word. You can enjoy a lot of dangerous things - at a safe distance. Go well, and God Bless!

In that case... why would god put poisonous mushrooms on this earth if you were not to eat them? (you'd die, by the way).
Just because something is natural, doesn't mean it's healthy, safe or meant for you, a human being... do you think the grass and plants are only here for us to dry out and then smoke? Is that the prurpose of plants? Of course not. Just like clay isn't here so you can build a house, like birds aren't here so you can shoot it and hang it on your wall, like trees aren;t here so that you make paper.
Just like nail polish remover isn't made for teenagers to huff and get high... it's for removing paint. There is always more than one use for most of everything... and not all of them are right.

Sounds like a question that would be asked by someone under the influence. God put alot of things on the earth....that doesn't mean we are to inhale, smoke, eat, inject them. God also gave most of us the ability to know what is good for us and what is not.

They prolly were. But things have been perverted and/or abused. I dont know if u believe in the Bible or not. But, if u do, Adam and Eve were naked. And when they both bit into the forbidden fruit of knowledge, they saw themselves naked and clothed themselves. For they were no longer seeing the world through "innocent" eyes. Maybe, natural drugs, were supposed to be something that just was..... but through man's knowledge and free will and curiousity, through most human beings, these things have been manipulated, changed, perverted, etc....

I don't think pot should even be classified as a drug It's all natural and not a processed or derived drug plant like poppy, ect. Alcahol is far more dangerous drug!. But socially acceptable. I would rather meet a car on the road with someone driving high on pot, Rather than someone that is driving drunk on alcahol!! How 'bout you?

They do serve other purposes other than recreational. For example: marijuana helps cancer patients cope and I believe helps glaucoma. So in a way it's a drug used the same way paxil or prozac is used to help cope with things but should be done under your physicians care.

Dear
God also put water on the earth as it is essential for the survival of life. But what will God do if you will dive in the ocean and be drowned?
