I know someone who goes to Walmart and stops people in the aisles and witnesses to them. Maybe it's just being shy, but I find it hard to be that out there, rather tending to form relationships with people first... (guess I'm just not at that level yet.) Anyone care to share witnessing experiences, thoughts?

Here in America, parents tell their children if they leave their lost tooth underneath their pillow that the tooth faerie will come, visit and leave them money in the exchange for their lost tooth under their pillow. Growing up, my mother told me that if I throw the tooth that came out from the bottom and throw it to the top of the roof of the house that is supposedly lucky verses the tooth that came out from the top and if I throw it onto the ground somewhere that is also lucky. Has any other Japanese person come across this rubbish tale?

Ok I AM 7th day adventist and I go to church on saturdays and I am really serious about my faith. But the thing is I am also very serious about my music and studies. So ok I got a full scholarship to attend a program at berklee the thing is that the program is on saturdays. I really want to do it. But I dont knwo what to do. should I just go or should I just quit!!

can't a guy have his preferce. why does it hurt black chics when a white guy does not have jungle fever? Am I racist for not being attracked to black chics or is it their way of getting back at me for not wanting them? I think they are not as attractive as they bragg and think they are.

I have and i cannot unerstand most of it. I read somewhere that some 85% of the koran cannot be understood even in its original arabic by arabs. is that why there are so much problems with the muslims?

I'm planning onstudying to be a teacher for the deaf or a speach path when I'm in college. If I could go ahead and learn the language it would help me a lot. I already have the basic book. I'm looking for a dictionary that will be easy to learn from, and/or a book on grammar. Thanks.

I find it also vary selfish to kill a baby because you dont feel like having that problem at this point in your life. I would bet 99.9% of all men asked would not do it if they had a choise ladys just keep your legs closed and know even rape is not a good reason only preservation of life would be a reason.(sorry about the spelling)

I want to do something helpful for the elderly and my idea is to visit one person on a weekly basis and read the newspaper or some periodical to them and discuss with them, as a way to give them some social interaction if they are lonely. Do you think this would be a good idea as a charitable act and would the nursing home sallow that?

I am, in my own opinion, a relatively open minded person. I am also a Christain who still maintains that open mindedness, contrary to popular non-Christain belief. I started research on the Big Bang Theory and the event itself (the literal bang), and in my opinion it has been proven to be true. I had to scatch my head though because of this line, and I quote, "Prior to that moment there was nothing; during and after that moment there was something: our universe. The big bang theory is an effort to explain what happened during and after that moment." I thought Newton's first law of motion says an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. So what acted on the universe to cause it to bang? I'm as open minded as the next guy, science says the universe began with "atoms",the bible starts the world with "Adam", so is there just a dark spot in science?

There is a Christian Prayer called 'Hail Mary' that has a line that says "blessed be the fruit of thy womb, Jesus". It is difficult to comprehend the meaning of this phrase. It sounds as ridiculous but similar to "sacred be the vegetable of thy anus, Jehovah". What does it mean? Fruit is slang for homosexual and some slang can have very ancient and cross cultural roots. The gnostic Christians of the 1st century sometimes portryed Jesus as a homosexual. So does it mean JC was gay? Or does it mean that Mary's womb really did spit out primary produce...."Here comes a watermelon", or does it mean something else. Please delve into your magic oracle Bible oh sacred flock of faithful sheep and spin me out a righteous answer. Hallelejuah

If you believe in evolution (I do), how do you now treat other animals and why?

I can understand the Christian belief i.e. man is 'special' so he is somehow separate from animals, but what about people who go by the belief that man *is not* special?

For example; most of you won't kill another human for moral reasons, but you will kill other animals. Many people would never kill a dog but have no problem killing a cow.

What *reasoned* explanation do you have for these common discrepancies? It seems to me we are put in the position of saying all life has some intrinsic value, no life has intrinsic value, or articulating why some life is more valuable then other life. Or, maybe we just leave it to whatever our culture says?

PS. I am not 100% vegetarian so this is not a plea to become a vegetarian; I'm just honestly curious whether huge scientific ideas (like evolution) ever make people re-evaluate their actions, or if they are just cute abstract ideas separate from themselves.

I've heard stories where if an individual goes into the bathroom, closes the door and says Bloody Mary 3 times that she'll appear in the mirror in front of you. Is this true or is it a myth? If it's a myth than who is Bloody Mary and if she's real what happened to her?
