lol. Bloody Mary is a childhood myth. She use to have me spooked when I was kid! Me and my friends would go in the bathroom, turn off all the lights and stand in the mirror and say her name three times....soon as we said three we would all scream and run out. All though one day when we did it, my frined came out with a scratch on her face and swore she saw bloody mary reach out and scratch her with her bloody hands. Of course as a gulible kid I believed her...but you know what she probably scratched herself...lol. But yeah, that mess is soo fake!

"Bloody" Mary, actually Mary Queen of Scotts, was the oldest child of Henry the Eight, king of England. Her sister was Elizabeth the First.
Following the death of King Henry, their younger brother Edward came to the throne. He died shortly there after from a seizure, leaving no heir. His widow, Lady Jean Grey, claimed the throne, but only for nine days before she was overthrown and beheaded by Mary.
This began a blood war between Mary and Elizabeth for the throne of England. Elizabeth's side eventually won and Mary lost her head.
Mary has come to be known as "Bloody" Mary for her war against Elizabeth.

If I'm not mistaken, Bloody Mary was the daughter of Henry VIII and his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. She hasn't appeared in a mirror in front of anyone for about 400 years.

I dont know what its based on, but I heard some murder.
When I was a kid, you were supposed to say 3 times in the mirror
(bathroom)
Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary
Got your liver, got your liver, got your liver
Maybe it has something to do with Jack the Ripper and his victim Mary.

The story is a fiction used by teens and pre-teens to scare each other when they are telling scary stories during a sleep over or around a campfire. I may have been based on some real historical person or not it doesn't matter - there is no effect to repeating the name in front of a mirror, except to make you feel foolish and gullible. Anyone who tells you it's real is having a joke at your expense.
