We are having a party at work tomorrow and everyone was supposed to sign up to bring stuff. Well two women signed up to bring rolls together while everyone else was cooking stuff. Seems to me they are just trying to eat our food without having to do any work, and why does it take two people to buy rolls, they are really cheap!

This is a 5 part question . Who was the person that came up with this saying ? Have any theists out there used this phrase on an atheists? Any atheists out there have it said to them ? Theists what did you expect to acomplish, other than insulting them, saying that ? As an atheist how did you feel when you heard it for the first time , especialy if you are in the military ?

God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. 17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent him to save them! 18No one who has faith in God's Son will be condemned. But everyone who doesn't have faith in him has already been condemned for not having faith in God's only Son.

19The light has come into the world, and people who do evil things are judged guilty because they love the dark more than the light.

My sister (her mother-in-law) wanted to throw her a baby shower, which my mother and my wife (from many miles away) wanted to attend. My niece hemmed and hawwed around, then finally agreed.

She's a Mormon. Her mother was at the baby shower (barely, since she didnt speak to anyone and left early). None of my niece's 5 sisters or mormon friends were there. The whole thing was kind of rushed through as if she just too busy for it.

Here's my read: She's planning another shower for her family and her mormon friends, and just agreed to this one to appease the "heathen" part of the family.

This is a young couple who have benefitted greatly from our family's generosity. If I find out she's just paying lip service to my wife, my mother, and my sister, after all the family has done for her.....I will tell her off in no uncertain terms and cut her out of our lives forever. Right or wrong?

really now, i have not seen one shred of scientific evidence for the belief of Athiesm. Show me, and i may begin to see why people like it so much.

why is it that with just about every single question that is asked here, from the fundamental workings of the universe to by-laws on garbage disposal, at least one so-called christian will post a reply that will usually ignore the facts of the matter in question and impose their belief on every single other person reading the thread? jesus preached to practice religion in private, so considering these people usually quote extensively from the scriptures, how is that that obviously that particular part of his teachings doesn't apply to them? furthermore, why do they expect me, an atheist, to unquestioningly accept the balderdash they are talking whereas when i give them my worldview they'll most likely tell me that i'll either have to accept their idea of religion or will go to hell? also, why do they post questions on hard science only to choose as the best answer the reply that goes with their preconception anyway? isn't it telling that i already know what the replies to this will be?

I have several, but the two that annoy me the most are
1. Fake titties (breast implants). I'm 5"9,135 lbs and I'm naturally a 40 C. Genetics. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a 34 C. Variety is the spice of life.
2. Women who ruin a "would be" perfect out fit by carrying the wrong hand bag. Where's the fashion police when you need them?

Hi. I found something that confuses me as I read some English article. Could you help me out?
---->
Dear Annie: I have been married for 30 years to a man who has a voracious appetite for sex. It's a nightmare. We can't drive anywhere without his bugging me to sit topless in the car so he can ogle me and fondle my breasts. Sometimes I oblige simply to keep the peace, but it really makes me angry.

He complains that I don't initiate sex very often and that on the few occasions I do, all I want is to make love in bed. He prefers going outside. By the way, I use the term "make love" loosely. I don't believe he's ever made love to me. In my view, his fantasies make it something less than love.
----->
1.I use the term "make love" loosely ---> what does it mean?
2.his fantasies make it something less than love.
---> What does "make it" means? It means "succeed"?

I am waiting for your help.

I hope my persistence to English would pay off.
