The greatest "proof" that Jesus did not stay in the grave is....The twelve Apostles, and Paul.
Each one...each one(with the exception of John) suffered death in such horrible ways, that there is absolutely no way all of them would have died without one single guy recanting his story. Now if they were together, there might be pressure from the others, but these guys were scattered all over the known world.
If I'm Thomas in India, and they have me tied to a pole and are going to peel my flesh off,and it's a lie,I really did not see the resurrected Jesus, and see the nail prints in His hands, and touch the wound in His side,I think I'd be like "Hey,fellas...uh,lets talk this over, maybe I had a little too much Passover wine...You know it might have been Jesus' brother James I talked to...yeah,that's the ticket,James, how 'bout untying me now,eh?"
But he didn't,he was flayed and skinned alive, never denying Jesus,if He was dead what the heck?Peter was crucified upside down,Andrew on an "X" cross,Paul was beheaded,Mattias(he took Judas' place)was killed by axes in Africa...and on and on.Besides Buddaha never ,Mohammed never,Confucias never,Zoroaster never, none of these ever said they would rise again only Jesus. He was seen first by Mary Magdalene, then the two on the road to Emmaus, then to the eleven disciples, then to 500 people at once, and lastly to Ol' Paul on the road to Damascus.I think that's pretty good evidence. As far as His body being missing, the Romans put a guard around his tomb,Romans don't fall asleep,if they do the Ceturion would light their cape on fire and burn them up(those guys didn't screw around). They fainted from fright and /or ran when they saw the two Angels come down. They rolled the stone back not to let Jesus out but to show He wasn't there. The guards not wanting to get in trouble were paid to say Jesus' men came by night and stole the body, that way the Jewish leaders could say "See,he didn't rise!"
The problem with that is ...many ,many Jewish Priests, scribes, and professors, became followers of Jesus including,Nicodemus,Joseph of Aramathia, and Paul (Saul of Tarsus:Rabbi Shaul) and many of the Levites. On that next Pentecost(feast of Ingathering)3000 came to Christ, all Jews.Of course millions have believed this "fairy tale",because they are not quite as "enlightened" as some of you.Thats' my proof.Proof of His existence.Read Flavius Josephus, just for one.He was a Jewish Pharisee, never a Christian, was around the same time as Paul et. al.,he talks about Jesus as a wonderful Rabbi who went about doing good, and was killed by the Romans. Suetonias the Roman, said there's this new "Cult" going around led by a man the Jews call Chrestus or the Christ (Messiah). So,again, there you go.

In the Bible book of Acts 1:11 the angel said to the disciples: “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who was received up from you into heaven will come thus in the same manner as you have beheld him going into heaven.”
Note that the record states that he would come again in the same manner. Jesus disappeared from their sight. They were standing there looking up into the sky and they did not see him any more. He was gone and yet they kept on looking. Then the angels stated: ‘Well, what are you looking for? This same Jesus, as you have seen him go into heaven, will come in the same manner.’
So Jesus Christ now, as a spirit person in heaven, “dwells in unapproachable light.” “Not one of men has seen or can see” him as such. (1Â Tim. 6:16) His situation is therefore comparable to that of his heavenly Father. (Heb. 1:2, 3)
Matt. 24:30, 31 reads: "the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31Â And he will send forth his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity."
Note please: Revelation 1:7 (NW), which says: “Look! he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him.”

Paul gives eyewitness testimony in the passage below.
The historical writings of Josephus. (Jewish historian of the time.)
People choose what they want to believe.
Do you believe in Julius Caesar? We would be foolish if we did not.
Yet there are only eight pieces of written evidence that support the great Caesar's existence.

Because three of the four gospel writers went to a martyrs death proclaiming they saw Jesus alive after His crucifixion, death, and burial. The remaining one, John lived out his life in exile. Fun.
I don't know ONE person who would go to their death on purpose with a lie like that on their lips. What good would it do?
