I am wondering since you gave a sincere answer last time if you can help explain this.

Words in the Bible can cause confusion today. As one case, people may quote the verse, "he (Joseph) took his wife (Mary), but knew her not until she had borne a son" [Matt 1:24-25; RSV]. According to them, the word "until" proves that Joseph "knew" Mary after Jesus was born. Therefore, Mary did not remain a virgin.

In regards to the word "until" implies a change in situation after some event. Even the Bible does use the word "until" in this sense, it also uses "until" in a sense that does not imply anything after some event.

In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus says: "For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day." [Matt 11:23; RSV] So would Sodom still have been destroyed the next day? St. Paul writes: "For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet." [1 Cor 15:25] So will Jesus quit reigning? So did Mary remain a Virgin?

I was reading a book a Jehovah's Witness missionary gave to me dad a few weeks ago. I noticed that they don't believe in an afterlife. I'm assuming that means they don't believe in heaven or that we'll go there someday since they believe death is the end? I'm also wondering why they believe in God if they don't believe in an afterlife or heaven?

If you haven't read the bible in from cover to cover AND study material to provide historical and cultural context, you are unqualified to refute it.
Yet they waste their time posting embarassing, ignorant "refutations" here all the while considering themselves to be intellectuals.

Kinda like saying - Jews can't wear hats because their horns will get in the way.

Why do some of you who are Christians lie about the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics?

Is this a piece of anti-Evolution propoganda that you get taught at your church? Is there a science textbook somewhere written by someone who has a Biology or Chemistry Doctorate, and from an Accreditted School?

How about Harvard, any body with a PHD in science from Harvard write a book about how Evolution violates the second law of Thermodynamics?

Christians, get close to your monitors, ok,

heres some fine print, ok, we're not fooled, we will fight you on every single anti-evolution point you bring up and we will win. For your side to win all you need is one, *one* *piece* of *credible* *empirical* *evidence* for your Theory of Creationism.

Do you have one?

We are not all Bible thumpers. I do understand why some people are skeptic about the existence of God. I do ask questions about the many contradictions in the Bible. I rather not be pooled in with the Christians who take the Bible to litterally, and who aren't willing to listen to the other side's arguements.

According to some scriptures like 1 John 5:7 and John 1:1 and others, are used by many to prove that Jesus is God or the same but in the original greek manuscripts says something completely different. For example 1 John 5:7 in the King James version says: "And there are three in heaven that bear record the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost and all three are one." But the interesting part about this scripture is that it does not exist in the original manuscripts or even in the oldest bibles before the King James version. Sounds like an add on. John 1:1 is another scripture that is tranlated wrong, I have many greek Bibles and all of them and I do use greek translating software, gives a whole different translation, it goes something like this "In the beginning the Logos was, the Logos was with the God, and the Logos is divine." Does not translate it as a God but it shows, as I understand it Jesus is of divine origin, mighty one, not God himself. So why the confusion?
