Can we eat Pork or Not?

Unclean food
Some say Christians shouldn’t eat Pork or other things the Jews were forbidden to eat in the old covenant.

Jesus said:
Mark 7:18-20 "Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don’t you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him ‘unclean’? 19 For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")

20 He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean.’ 21 For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean.’"

Paul said:
Romans 14:1-23 Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions. 2 Some believe in eating anything, while the weak eat only vegetables.

My grandfather was a Mason and unfortunately died before I Was old enough to ever ask about the merits of joining. I have looked through many resources about joining, but other than joining a brotherhood to do charitable work, I cannot see what the big draw is. I already work with a charitable organization and feel I do my part to give back for all that I have received, so what reason would i want to join?

My Grandfather had great pride in the organization, so I am wondering other than the benefits of giving back and joining a brotherhood (things that I feel I already have in my life) why would I want to join.

I would like to hear from sincere members and am open to exchanging views by email if necessary.

Examples: christians deriding evolution b/c it's only a "theory", politicians paying lip service to your interests only to get votes, publicists and pundits spinning the truth within an inch of it's life.

It's gotten to the point where I feel the need to drop to my knees and worship anyone that speaks the truth. Are you drowing in a sea of bullshit?

I am currently a sophomore in High School and I am sad to say that I really don't have any friends. Ever since about 7th grade I always wanted to have friends but I probably have gotten about a few (some who've moved and some that don't talk to me anymore) I have like one friend who I hang out with after school sometimes.. but I am extremely sad. I see everyone else with their friends and talking to each other about stuff but I'm always left out. I want a girlfriend and hey I am actually good looking, and I wonder why girls aren't nicer to me (I am good looking). I try to have a good personality, I just seem left out. Can someone help me on making friends and possibly a girlfriend. I've been in need of friends for a long time and I need it to happen soon. Anyone who can answer I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm not too big on meeting someone for that purpose on the internet. I just need some really good ideas on how to meet someone without just coming on to just anyone that I'm not sure if they are bi or a lesbian or not. Whenever I talk to Christians about evolution they don’t seem to understand how it works.

They say things like ¨look at your hands, how can something so perfect for the job not have been designed ¨.

Which suggests to me they believe evolution is about things happening by accident.

So let me clarify this point. Evolution isn’t about lucky accidents its about trial and error. There is a subtle but important difference.

When two life forms reproduce DNA from both the male and female are mixed together, but also a random element is introduced. This random element is vital as it gives the life form new ways of adapting to its environment.

Say a new life form is born with a gene that lets it cope better with heat. If the environment then suddenly gets very hot, it’s brothers and sisters will die and it will live to pass on that gene to it’s children.

Now take a look at an apes hands they aren’t all that different from ours are they...
