There are multiple stories in the bible telling about how god was directly involved with the killing of many people. The 2 that stand out the most is 1) when he gives moses the power to part the red sea to help the escaping people...which he then crashed upon egyptian troops killing them all...and 2) god flooded the earth killing every single human being, every single animal on this earth besides noah and 2 of each animal...killing that many people i would certainly call a sin...

I've been around here (Yahoo Answers) since May I think..and I've noticed a few things about the people who come here on a regular basis:

1. Most Everyone has an exceptional sense of humor.
2. The regular people no matter what their belief or disbelief is.. kinda have a respect for one another.
3. It's just plain fun to hear other peoples view and imagine what they are really like

Do you agree or disagree?

okay i have a boarder who lives with my bf and i..
he's a little pain in the ***. he's 19 and does nothing to help around the house.. its hard enough to get him to clean up after himself... he's always nosing around our stuff.. he's taken some of my shirts out of the closet.. (i don't know where else he got it from its a hard core logo shirt..)
i'm missing some hoodies.. i'm sure he's taken them only i can't prove it.. he's taken some green things from us too... screens.. etc..
if you look at one of my last ?'s it explains about an air riffle.. and an injured rabbit.. i'm sure he had something to do with as all the evidence says so...

what my question is.. should i lay a trap leave some money.. or something of interest that i know he'll take.. just to help prove my point were better off without him and his money

the amount he gives us equals to half of our rent.. but my bf and i both have good jobs and make enough that fincially he's only a plus not a nessecity

At what age did you become saved?
Where you babtised as a child?
If so did you feel the need to be babtised again at an older age?

I was babtised when I was very young. I didn't know Jesus even was at the time, I just did it because my parents wanted me to.

I excepted the Lord at the age of 23 and was babtised again. I felt like it was better making the decision as an adult.

What are your views on this?

If a God was powerful enough to create a universe, or even a world. Omnipotent enough to read( think hard about this ) EVERY thought, and hear every word, and see every action.. of every person in the world all at the same time! Would that being really choose to speak in riddles to random individuals? Would that being not just tell everyone at once? Why not just BE HERE ?? What does God have to hide for? What would God have to lose, it`s not like we aren`t used to the idea of God by now is it......

This is genuine curiosity, dont take offence

Not just for christians.. try this on whatever faith you like.

If the penalty for all your sins has been paid, then can you consider yourself sinless even though you're a habitual sinner?definitely. Jesus paid for all your sins(past, present and future)--you just need to admit that that is you need to be a Christian. You can be a habitual sinner but as a Christian all your sins will be paid for. It's like pouring water into a jar with a hole in it's bottom. Your sins are the water, the jar is you and the hole is created in the jar by Jesus--the moment you accepted his sacrifice. So, what is the meaning of repentance for sins?
You already repented for all your past, present and future sins the moment you accepted Christ. Why Jesus told the woman-"Go and sin no more". It's because Jesus was still uncrucified at the time. Some Christians are wrong in saying that we need to ask forgiveness.
no--it's not a master or servant relationship that we have with Jesus--such that we have to ask for his mercy everytime we sin. if somebody ask forgiveness for any sin--it implies that he have deep in his heart real doubt that all his future sins were forgiven as well. so, sin boldly. If you are a preacher of mercy, do not preach an imaginary but the true mercy. If the mercy is true, you must therefore bear the true, not an imaginary sin. God does not save those who are only imaginary sinners. Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong (sin boldly), but let your trust in Christ be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world. We will commit sins while we are here, for this life is not a place where justice resides. We, however, says Peter (2. Peter 3:13) are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth where justice will reign.

Mithraic studies show that Mithras was not born of a virgin, but rather hatched from a rock under a tree on the banks of a river. And the New Testament says nothing about Christ being born on Dec. 25th... that's just Christian holiday tradition.

If you were presented with a seemingly valid proof of God's existence, would you accept it or would you squirm uncomfortably while you looked for any and every reason to discount its validity?

I know this is a superstition...but why is it that when a cat crosses infront of you, it is always black, rather than brown or white or whatever other color.

I just found out that my BF's Co-worker's father passed away. He and his buddies from work are intending to go to the wake tonight. When I found this out, I immediately offered to go with him for moral support, as he has never been to a wake before. I have been to many wakes and have experience in what is expected, whereas my BF does not.

He told me that one of his buddies from work sent out an email about the wake and (as far as I can tell) it is his assumption that it is just his buddies going to the wake. I tried to explain to him that usually in these situations, significant others are usually expected to attend. He continued to refuse my offer, making it seem as if I could not go because I was not invited.

It's hard enough going to a wake when you have experience, but my BF has no experience. I've offered my support to him, but he thinks he knows what will go on. Do I let him just crash and burn - or do I try and convince him to let me go with him for moral support?

Question: I am pretty sure we can agree with the fact that working out takes a lot of effort in order to have a good looking body.

So, would you rather;

Be able to eat anything you want as many times a day that you want without gaining any fat, or any health complications such as high cholesterol, diabetes, etc…

In exchange for:

Having sex become a workout. No pleasure, satisfaction, enjoyment, but needed in order to procreate.
