I've been around here (Yahoo Answers) since May I think..and I've noticed a few things about the people who come here on a regular basis:
1. Most Everyone has an exceptional sense of humor.
2. The regular people no matter what their belief or disbelief is.. kinda have a respect for one another.
3. It's just plain fun to hear other peoples view and imagine what they are really like

I agree with you. Sometimes I actually email other yahoo answerers to tell them that I though their response was really funny or that I thought their answer was great. In life and on Yahoo Answers I try have a sense of humor, respect people's beliefs(as long as it does not promote hate), and love to hear different people's points of view.

(1) Don't agree. There are some bitter, haughty, grumbling cranks on here who take themselves far too seriously. I admit that sometimes I'm guilty of such, but I honestly try to stay on the lighter side of things. There are enough who don't make such an attempt that forces me to disagree with the proposition that "most everyone" has an exceptional sense of humor.
(2) Don't agree. I haven't noticed too much "kind of" respect. It tends to lean one way or the other. Being nasty about disagreement or being civil about disagreement... there's rarely middle ground, at least as far as I've observed.
(3) Agree. I find this place immensely entertaining.

For the most part I agree.
There is a lot of humor,
Most people here do respect each other
and
I do enjoy reading others' views.
I'm an atheist and I like to hear what others think whether they agree with me or not.
The truly funny part is watching the super-fundies get so upset over the tiniest things! Hey, a joke's a joke, if you want to preach go to another site. theY kant evun spel!

1. The far right have no humor. it is all fire and brimstone.
2. No, there are some nutters I do not respect at all. Billcompugeek, Fireball and Carol M fall into this category

MOST people have a sense of humor, but there are a few people with sticks up their butts that get offended at everything. I have the violation reports to prove it. Ease up people!
