I think some people are definitely trying to stir things up, and see what kind of hilarious responses they can get. Like posting "Will I go to hell because I wear Jesus underwear" in the religion section or "who agrees that women/men or religionX/ideologyY/SportsTeamZ is wrong/sucks/should die because of (fill in the blank)" in whatever section will cause the most chaos.
Of course... sometimes it's fun to take the bait and join in, too...
