I love the guy but I don't think he spent Sundays pretending to serve god like the rest of us.

He was an atheist, or so I've been told. If I had an accident like that I would be focused on the pain at hand and dieties I don't believe in would not be on my mind. But I hear he had 3 minutes from the time they pulled him up 'til he died to think about whatever he would of thought of.

He seemed a reasonable person just like 99% of us are most of the time. What is this stuff about sin? Just another way of scaring the crap out of everyone. If there is a heaven I'm sure he's gone there just like everyone else. He didn't need to repent neither does anyone. If there is a god I'm certain they need absolutely nothing from us and have no need whatsoever for us to serve them. Wouldn't that make us little more than slaves? What a terrifying thing this god that people fantisise about is.

Yes, there is enough time to repent for your sins between a stingray barb in your heart and death, who says that Steve Irwin did not do that exact samething. He probably had enough time for his entire life to flash through his eyes.

Crikey mate! The Buddhist's love him. What sins. For those of you that wish to spend Sundays serving your God, that is fine. I think most of us have our own spiritual beliefs of a higher power, so who are you to judge???

Evidently he had enough time to remove it from his heart. What do you think was going through his head at the time? What makes you more worthy of salvation?

Mt 20: 11-16 And on receiving it they grumbled against the landowner, saying, 'These last ones worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who bore the day's burden and the heat.'

He said to one of them in reply, 'My friend, I am not cheating you. Did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage?
Take what is yours and go. What if I wish to give this last one the same as you? (Or) am I not free to do as I wish with my own money? Are you envious because I am generous?'
Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last."

More importantly... to whom would I repent and why? There's no god, no heaven, no hell, just birth, life for a while, and death. That's it.

Repentance can come in an instance. Who are we to judge?
