no offense meant but watching the discovery channel, all the cruelty could make someone think that god is cruel.

parasites controlling a caterpillar's brain as a host while feeding on it.
birds eating other birds and their eggs
lions killing lion cubs which are not theirs
chimps ruling their tribe using terror

there are mounds of other evidence pointing against a loving christian god.
animals by the way never ate the fruit of knowledge of good and evil so they are supposed to be sinless. but why so much cruelty?

i cant imagine an aligator eating grapes or grass. carnivores eat meat. most of them harrass their prey.i think that leaves god out of the equation in life.

no smart @ss answers please.

so according to the Christian philosophy that says if you know about Jesus and do not accept him you are going to go to hell the following people are burring in hell right now.

Naturally I do not know if any of these people accepted Christianity but I am assuming the vast majority did not.

937,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus in Rwanda

2,000,000 Buddhists, secularists and others in Cambodia

6,000,000 Jews in the Holocaust

10,000 Kurds in Iraq

180,000 Albanians in Yugoslavia

1,000,000+ North Korea

So are these people burning in hell if they were not Christian? This all happened in the past century and some in Christian nations. Its not like they did not know about Jesus.

I have taken religion courses and understand Islam well. However, non of my teachers have covered what is the idea behind the extremist. Why are the unprovoked attacks a positive thing to them? Please no hate comments.

My old friends and mother's family say that... But I am not sure I believe them. Plus, I am not a bad person, so why would I go to hell just for liking people of my own gender instead of the opposite?
:'-(

I cannot change, I tried!

And have I arrangend the words "possibly, or possibly not" correctly here?

The earthquake and tsunami disaster on 26 December 2004 have caused a terrible loss of many lives. Another impact is that there are many children who have lost their parents to that natural disasters. These orphans POSSIBLY, OR POSSIBLY NOT, have been offered assistance from their extended families. TAI, as an international humanitarian institution, identifies the orphans as a vulnerable group and finds out that there has been a lack of support for them. In line with TAI commitment to help the vulnerable community members, TAI gives supports BY STARTING to conduct an assessment of the structure of the already existing support for the orphans and their siblings.

There were slack times when everyone could relax and be part of the family. There was stress, but not on a daily basis.

God never said anything about voting in the Bible, and when you get to Heaven, He sure isn't going to let you vote on who's going to be God.

I think so.

I understand when a question is offensive, but come on, it's just one stupid question, it isn't actually hurting you. But the thing is that half the questions reported aren't offensive, they just express a descenting point of view. Ease up.

How was the universe created? How did life start from inorganic matter? I don't know but people much smarter than you or me are working on trying to figure it out right now. And that is contributing MUCH more to society than some one who simply say "My deity did it and that's final." That kind of mentality keeps society from progressing intellectually. That's just how it is because an old book by some old men says so does nothing to gain knowledge. To be afraid of learning more is to be willfully ignorant. To call science your enemy is to directly call knowledge your enemy and to directly admit the desire to remain ignorant because ignorance is bliss.

Having an answer doesn't make your answer valid. By comparison my "I don't know" is actually much more intelligent than some one's giant assumption based on the fact that they don't want to admit that they don't know either.

Why do some people hate/fear others for trying to find answers? They just want answers, not to hurt you.

Religion, in its most literal terms, depends on thing slike the Bible, to actually, literally be the word of God. If this is so, there seems to be no middle ground.
