Of course women go to mecca. In my experience I have seen women to be stronger followers of Islam than alot of men. If they were persecuted so much why would they openly follow Islam and embrace it totally. If you take the time and speak to Muslim people you could see that 99% of them say it is a peaceful religion and the women has rights. Muslim women are treated like royalty and are very much loved by husbands and families alike. It is not a burdon to give birth to a girl. Yes,there are cases where a women is mistreated but tell me a country in the world where this doesnt happen.

Salat is the name for the obligatory prayers which are performed five times a day, and are a direct link between the worshipper and God. There is no hierarchical authority in Islam, and no priests, so the prayers are led by a learned person who knows the Quran, chosen by the congregation. These five prayers contain verses from the Quran, and are said in Arabic, the language of the Revelation, but personal supplication can be offered in one's own language. Prayers are said at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and nightfall, and thus determine the rhythm of the entire day. Although it is preferable to worship together in a mosque, a Muslim may pray almost anywhere, such as in fields, offices, factories and universities. Visitors to the Muslim world are struck by the centrality of prayers in daily life.

Muslims are the most people who insult woman, i live in an arabic region, and i see how they treat her. Woman in islam means only to be a house maid, she has no rights. Imagine in some countries, she can't vote, or drive a car,or go to supermarket...Islam see the woman a sex source, not more...I feel sorry about them ...
