Just like freedom of religion include freedom not to have one....So why do ppl try to make other ppl vote or join a church is that un-American.

This is in response to another question. I had a pastor once tell me that once you're saved that's it, you're going to heaven no matter what, and that nothing except renouncing God can un-save you. Consider the bridge metaphor: God's on one side, we're on the other, and once we're saved we cross the bridge and we are with God. I guess what I'm asking is could this bridge be a two-way street, or just one-way? Let me know what you all think, I'm looking for serious answers please.

I am 24 years old, and have gone through my whole life being a christian.. I was just told that since I DO NOT push my religion on other people, and I allow people to believe what they want without my ' condemnation ' of their respective faiths... that I am NOT A CHRISTIAN.... Do you really have to try to 'save' people and force them to believe in Jesus in order to 'really' be a christian???

The above quotation has long been attributed to Ghandi. Regardless of it's source, it is a question that occurs to me with startling regularity. For in my obtuse position in the world, I stand starkly outside the gates of 'political correctness and religious salvation. I am an atheist, a transexual, a peaceful anarchist and an existential pantheist. The Christ of your biblical description would love me unconditionally with the knowledge that his 'Father' created all things. If self will is the issue then why do we choose to judge others....rather than to love them as Christ is alleged to have loved us all.
Here's your big chance! Love me....or judge me.......this will be very revealing.

I'm just a happy agnostic minding my own business people they email me they say i see your searching and i just want to tell you you need zeus or you go to hades.

Any evidence of zeus being a real god or a real person? Or hades being real?

Outside of the illiad and odessy i mean, any real empirical evidence?

(this might only be funny to the people who read my questions everyone else, yeah sorry)

The bible is a thing of the past! Evreything in it talks about conflic between men and kings and war, the stuff that was going on back then. The devil is just something we created to obsorb the blame for the wrong doings of man kind. The bible need to be closed and put away .Its more of a history book and fairy tales than anything. True it may have some useful stuff in it but that can be with any kind of book. A new book of life should be written for modern times. For people with intelligence. Please do not answer here with bible quotes or Jesus says because those answers will not be chosen for best answer. Whats really nuts is when a person believes in the devil and not a god. I don't believe in either. If anything, I tend to think the creator is a woman entity. The great mother creatrix of nature and all life.

It talks about in the Bible that God will test our faith to see if we still believe. So I really don't understand why people lose their faith. Don't get me wrong. I'm NOT condemning anyone. It's the people who used to be christian and then turn their back on God. Life on earth is just meaningless and so short. It's hard to say that because I DO love my life. I'm just going by what I know. Compared to spending ETERNITY in Heaven or hell though, 70 or so years on earth just really doesn't seem that long. I'm just trying to understand. I DO realize that the wars and the hurricanes are enough to shake one's faith. I just don't know how someone can be so weak as to have once had faith and then lose it. Then those people complain all the time. As a faithful follower I really just see that people who's faith is strong have SUCH better and happier lives then pagans. Just makes me wonder why people will turn their backs and then not realize they're wrong.

If you knew you were gay as a child, you were still in the closet, did you ever consider coming out as a bisexual to lighten the blow to people/family? I thought it would have been easier to do that but I know now, that there would have been reprocussions from it. Has anyone thought of doing this crazy idea?

I would feel bad to go out with my friends and celebrate when so many people dont have a place to live and no friends or family to have the opportunity celebrate with. What should i do? I feel really uneasy about it. Last year I was at the cheesecake factory stuffing my face with food when the storm happened. I still feel bad about that.

I keep reading all of these questions that make reference to pushy christians. I'm a christian... and I'm not pushy. I love all people, I respect that other people have different beliefs and faiths..I don't try to push Jesus on them, I don't try to convert them.. I let them believe what they will, just as I believe what I will.. Does this make me a bad Christian?
