Science can't prove that Zeus didn't create the world, and the odds of thunder and lightning coming from random processes are about 1 in 10 to the 36th power (www.answersinolympus.org). The Second Law of Thermodynamics proves that complexity cannot come from more simple elements without outside interference, so Zeus MUST be the creator of the universe.

this is sort of a rhetorical question. the better question would be why do people believe or not believe in Zeus.
I choose not to believe in him because in my vast knowledge zeus, a god is not suppose to portray greed or self worth. yes...this is a very simple answer, I could get into the reason of my belief, but I don't really want to write a 10 page essay.

no they dont lose faith. They just mix it up with their current belief.
For example, christianity. They claim jesus is God son, whereas he is only God messenger as do other messenger as Moses and Abraham.
25 dec is not the actual jesus birth date, it is unknown.
Easter is also derive from a pagan holiday.
