with so many religions beliving in diffrent gods and differant ways to worship him, how do you know which one is true? for example ask a jew and he will say his god is the true god and there way is right, ask a christian and he will say the same thing about his religion.... they all have asmuch faith in there god as the next religion and all is based on a book called the bible. is differant religions just differnt peoples view on this book? if so how do you know your religion has it right over any other religion?

Is this the "life of the spirit" that the New Testament admonishes you to live? Is it not just a return to "the law" ("following the rules")?

Can't you learn all about what God wants from you if you just listen to the Holy Spirit within you? Or do you not really know how? Quoting Bible verses incessantly only makes people think you don't know for yourself what you're talking about.

of the women
70% identified as christian (protestant, catholic, evangelical, and born again)
22% none
8% other

it seems like religion isn't having much effect on the decision not to abort.

HIGH rates of abortions still happen in the countries who illegalize it (nigeria, mexico, brazil, dom. rep., chile, peru). it doesn't stop it from happening, it just makes it unsafe. it also results more abandoned children. with this knowledge in mind, illegalizing it doesn't seem to be a realistic or healthy solution to the problem.

a good portion of abortion cases use contraceptives, though not always correctly. many happen in steady relationships and in ones that already have chlidren.

Should I minor in another language, or some other subject? The school I attend offers courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or Swahili. Not really interested in Spanish, Arabic, or Swahili, though.
I would like to know what would be the better career move, not an opinion based on personal preference.

We take drugs for almost every ailment. And sometimes, the side effects of these drugs, that are supposed to keep people alive, are actually life threatening. As well, people who take certain medications don't actually need them, or they are "high" on them.

I am reluctant to take tylenol everytime I have a headache, and when the doctor perscribes me medication I don't like the idea.

Are we turning 100% chemical?

Love my sister - and this is a big milestone. I live out of state and don't know what I can do special for her. Thought about getting tickets for us to go to Vegas (just the girls for a long weekend or something) - but I don't think that is her scene. She's married (so am I) and we have jobs, families and commitments... Looking for some good, friendly suggestions! I just don't want this to be just another birthday... needs to be special. Catholicism is not a branch of christianity nor is any other false doctrine religion like jehovah's witness, mormonism, or other lying false religions. Christianity is not divided. If catholicism were a branch of christianity, wouldnt that mean that christianity is better than catholicism, and why not just do the original religion and only religion which is christianity and only itself not tied to catholicism or any other nasty religion, eew. Just stop the lies please. Christian tanslates into "christ-like" which is one who is like and imitates Jesus Christ, and catholic can not mean the same thing. I heard it means "one who follows christ" which is different.

My birthday was Aug. 16... only my Mom said happy b-day ...my brother and Dad didn't... no cake no nothing... I mean, i don't mind at all... it's ok ...BUT they've been secretly planning a birthday party for my brother's girlfriend... with cake... balloons.. dj ..music... food.. etc. behind my back... for this coming saturday ..while i'm at work...

and they don't want me to find out so that I don't feel bad... but i heard them talk about it while they thought i was sleeping... they have like the sodas and chips hidden in my brothers closet...
