Do you think that certain people are more inclined to seek a diety more so than others due to a gene they posess? Would that mean that people who don't seek a higher power don't have the gene? What are you thoughts on this God gene?

May be Jesus wants him to do so.Or may be his father wants that. Infact Jesus is known as the most rebelious person. he never belived in prexisting theories.

They get to kill 1000 people say they're sorry, repent and go to heaven. All they have to do is really mean it. That's easy.

They get to go to church and thank Jesus for dying for the felony they just committed

No matter how many women they rape, Jesus still loves them

No wonder why most criminals are Christians.

If I was a criminal, I would become a Christian too.

christians and pro lifers are always making stem cell research difficult for medical scietists often claimimg that scientist are using a life for theroputic cloning. They claim life begins at conception ......when reading all information available on theroputic cloning the egg that is used is not fertilised, therefore it is not a life........should christians and pro lifers that are making it so hard for scientists to create cures for things such as MS, Diabetes, Parkinsons etc be denied treatment due to their out spoken rejection of the methods used to create these cures?????

If your brother, the son of your father or of your mother, or your son or daughter, or the spouse whom you embrace, or your most intimate friend, tries to secretly seduce you or your ancestors before you, saying, "Let us go and serve other gods,"...you must not consent, you must not listen to him; you must show him no pity, you must not spare him or conceal his guilt. No, you must kill him, your hand must strike the first blow in putting him to death and the hands of the rest of the people following. You must stone him to death, since he has tried to divert you from Yaweh your god...
Deuteronomy 13:7-11

Why haven't you tried to kill me? Aren't you disobeying your god?
How is this resemblent of a "peaceful" religion?
How can you expect people to behave in a peaceful manner after reading this?
Is this not the anti-thesis of freedom of and from religion?

Your god was pretty clear. He hates people like me. He wants me dead. Why aren't you trying to kill me?

I've been reading a lot of different questions about religion and spirituality lately. From what I've read, Why do people hate Athiest so much? I myself am somewhat Agnostic and somewhat Athiest. I accept the fact that there are Christians, Catholics, Muslims, Hindus, etc. out there in the world. Why don't you all accept me for what I am? Not only that, but why are you all to ignorant to even notice other religions for what they are? I believe that one should respect another persons beliefs simply because they are their own. I have mine and they have theirs. Why should one be better than the other? Why are people so stubborn when it comes to these things?

Please no bull about how all sins are equal, or how Jesus died so I can beat the crap outta children all life long. You do not know god's will, I'm just asking for your thoughts on the ranking of sins. If you don't want to call them sins, call them actions.

a. Murder?
b. Rape?
c. Abortion?
d. Lying?
e. Sincerely believing in your heart that God doesn't exist as told in the bible?
f. Actually flushing the bible down the toilet at http://flushaholybook.com

Also is there any scale that your local preacher has told you about
like:
3 abortions < not believing in god < Murder < not donating 10%

i'm looking to learn Hinduism and need a good resource to do so.
i know virtually nothing about this religion, and so i'm trying to avoid spending money on books and such until i know if it is for me.

basically, i want an informative website that covers the Traditions, the Practices, the ways of Worship, the History, and the pantheon of Hinduism

also, if you are Hindu, i would enjoy it if you would E-mail me what you know and possibly answer any questions i have.

Why is it okay for atheists and other nonchristians to put down/criticize/judge Christian beliefs, but should a Christian put down/criticize/judge nonchristian beliefs, he/she is deemed a Bible-thumper?
