its a point of view thing. people that have the same beliefs as you will almost automatical praise you and try to help you where as those who do not have your beliefs will call you out for saying stuff. i was reading some of the early answers and that seems to be the idea going around. this includes christans. try this if you will ask a old baptist about catholics and vice versa, see what the responses are.
and let me throw this one out there i am a scientist, and a catholic i believe in the bible and evolution, its not a one or the other poroposition and it really annoys me when people act like it is. faith is one thing and for me it is the belief that the bible was meant as a teaching tool about life and the way people are meant to live and act, not as science fact.

What you see is not as real as God. What you see should prove to you their is a God. If you try and tell me we just became without a creator then you need to go rethink some things. Ask an athiest How the whole universe came about to exist and I mean every galaxy and every star, also the ones still forming. Ask how the earth has one set speed it to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth which includes billions of diverse lifeforms (That according to athiest just popped out of nowhere or crawled out of the Ocean). Where did the Ocean come from then?. Also ask them to get an empty glass and set it up in their house and go back to the glass 20 or 30 years or more if needed and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it scares them. Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from and the energy to make it go BANG? I'll tell you God created it and he may have made a "BIG BANG" out of it to put it where he wanted it. I won't dispute that because the Universe is still expanding. All in all the athiests have to many questians to explain themselves that the Bible already explains. I'd rather believe there is a God and die and if there isn't I lose nothing but if there is and I've argued to people he isn't then I would lose alot. Think it over friend. Are you really sure about denying God?

Well I can't tell YOU what to do, but as a Christian myself, I try not to put down/criticise/judge nonchristian beliefs or athiests. You KNOW we, as Christians, aren't supposed to do that right?
People are gonna do what people do. You can't control them. What you CAN control is YOU. Live your life for God and don't worry about athiests putting you down. I don't get offended or upset when that happens. I feel sorry for them because I KNOW that God want's us ALL to go to Heaven, but these guys are being fooled by the Devil. They don't realize they're under the Devil's influence and I feel sorry for them. I think many of them have been hurt in some way, sometimes by a "christian" and that's helped drive them away from God. So don't feel offended when they criticize you. Understand where they are, and wish them good luck.
God bless you. Good luck my friend.

Dont let those names bother but be proud to be called them cause they do see the difference in you. If they dont like it, well its their problem. Nothing amuses an unbelieving, obnoxious, person more than reveling your weakness to them and they just use it all the time to make fun of you, critisise, you and hate your beliefs ultimatly to make you feel bad or hateful. These people in here arent proving anything to anyone by what they are saying about christianity cause 99.9% of the time they dont know what theyre talking about. Choose your battles, dont let the choose you, and if somone will listen then tell them about the gospel of Christ, along with that you need to be a good listener to. If they want to fuss or debate, its not your duty to do it. Dont force it on them, and walk away.

Let me explain it this way...
People of some races say things about whites, right? After the history that has been, it is normal for people who have been oppressed and made a minority to say stuff against whites.
Non believers and non Christians are no different of a minority. Christianity has had the upper hand for a long time, oppressed other people for a long time, acted hateful to other people for a long time...tries to tell us we should all be like them and we aren't allowed to be who we are, we have to be them instead. So just like the racial oppression as stated in the first paragraph, this minority talks to.
Christians who now try to act like they are the victims is like after a bad history whites claiming to be victims now to. Both are the majority neither are the victims if a minority group has a difference of opinion.

No! interpreting by no skill makes everybody a tremendous discomfort in the sit down. interpreting typically makes someone properly suggested. you would possibly want to be obsessed on regardless of version of the bible you want; you may memorize the entire e book, in case you want and nevertheless no longer be branded a thumper. The thumper is that human being it quite is popular with little or no about the bible or faith and yet is pushed to make pronouncements advert infinitum without historic past in information, laced for the length of with condemnation and dripping with sanctimony. that is this very tiring, boring, discomfort in the sit down-down that turns into the thumper. The thumper is unquestionably confident that their particular misconceptions are common regulation and should be believed, without question, through absolutely everyone. a minimum of the christian thumpers are literally not degenerated to the point of delusion that they sense pushed to kill harmless human beings inclusive of the Shi'ite of Islam. So study and memorize away, do exactly not attempt to rigidity your fantasies upon others. it really is the overbearing, ignorant violater of different human beings's rights and peace it quite is the scary...'thumper'!

Atheists "thump" scientific facts that have been ruthlessly put to the test and proven accurate by scientists throughout the centuries. There is no ignorance. We admit what we don't know, and we try to learn. We make theories, and then TRY to prove them wrong. If we cannot prove a theory wrong, we consider it a fact.
Science does not tell people how to live their life. It simply explores nature out of harmless curiousity and the passion to learn.
Christians "thump" a bunch of bronze age scribblings written by power-hungry cultists who would be amazed by a wheel barrel. All of their concepts of life, such as how it all began, have been given the same opportunity as other theories, and have been proven false. Yet christians refuse to change and grow with the times. They tell people how to live their lives through intimidation and other cult methods. They want power and money.
See the difference?

you are approaching a dual edge sword my friend. of course your supposed to turn the other cheek and everything is all hunky-dory but it is hard to take sometimes. but for a christian to have a response we are of course bible thumping and don't forget obviously not showing the christian brotherly love, and risking putting down another religion. i guess in the end i've just learned how to keep my mouth shut and walk away or just tell the other person to stop talking. when the time is right and the spirit moves me, then is the only time i respond or even educate.....

Atheists are not trying to push delusional superstitionism on people. In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

No, honey, you're mistaken. A bible thumper is someone who goes around quoting the bible at every chance they get, not disagreeing with someone else's beliefs. A bible thumper is also known as a fundie.
