Please no bull about how all sins are equal, or how Jesus died so I can beat the crap outta children all life long. You do not know god's will, I'm just asking for your thoughts on the ranking of sins. If you don't want to call them sins, call them actions.

a. Murder?
b. Rape?
c. Abortion?
d. Lying?
e. Sincerely believing in your heart that God doesn't exist as told in the bible?
f. Actually flushing the bible down the toilet at http://flushaholybook.com

Also is there any scale that your local preacher has told you about
like:
3 abortions < not believing in god < Murder < not donating 10%

Atheist here. Murder and rape share the first place. Abortion is, in my opinion not wrong, lying is something everyone does from time to time ( you don't really want your grandma to know her new dress looks awful do you?) E can't be wrong to an atheist and F was actually quite funny especially 'cause they had so many holy books there.
I don't have a preacher, never had one.

Taking anothers life is morally wrong. Wgo are you to take away someone's future? Who are you to end something so precious as life.

Rape is als morally wrong. If the woman doesn't want sex, then it's her choice. It is barbaric to the point of not being natural. In nearly all animals, if the female does not want to mate, then thats the end of it. Sick people who rape surrender to the most primal of instincts and are low.

Abortion is wrong is certain stages of prenancy. I believe in pregnancy prevention and early development abortion, when the zygote is just a small mass of cells that simply divide. I also support abortion in the case of rape victims, but not stupid people who get cold feet and want to abort after several months.

Lying is deceptive and also wrong. Though, the truth may not always be best at the given time. Use tasteful discretion when lying, and only use it to help others, not yourself.

I skip E. becasue it doesn't apply to everyone.

Flsuhing the bible down the toilet is strange, wierd, and offensive. Why? It's the same as burning a book, don't do it.

"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars -- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." - Revelation 21: 8

Given how all of these are put together into one category, it is really kind of hard to rank them other than severe in the sense that they all lead to death... If they would be ranked, it would be in how they affect others, and in that sense, the ranking you've already ordered them would be appropriate...

My typical ranking of badness of each of these (there are circumstances that could cause them to shift around or even be considered good sometimes, let's ignore those for now)

a. Murder
b. Rape
c. Lying

The rest are not bad.

I wouldn't rank any of them. The Bible states that Jesus will be the judge of all mankind. I don't want His job (even if it comes with a great salary, a Benz, and a mansion).

Well, even though you stated that you didn't want this answer, I have to give it. All sin is sin. It is all equally evil. This is the correct answer.

Jesus did not die for us so that we can now beat our children their entire lives. Turning yourself over to Jesus means making your life like His, and life of holiness and faith and love. We are to imitate Him and live our lives in Him and through Him. His forgiveness does not give us license to sin again and again and again and ask for forgiveness and then do it again. He forgives because He knows we are imperfect sinners and we make mistakes, but we have the obligation to turn our lives around and follow Him if we are going to be true to our faith.

God bless.

Let's see....
murder = abortion....they're the worst "actions"
then rape
then lying
then flushing the bible (hassle, gotta call the plumber)
believing god doesn't exist isn't on my list of "bad actions"
