Christianity is a good idea for everyone. No one gets to kill 1000 people and get away with it, you will go to jail and be punished. That is Man's law, and God had said that Man must follow the laws that Man creates as long as it donen't interfere with God's laws. I am a Catholic, and in the Catholic church, we don't believe that we get a free pass just because Jesus died on the cross. By Him doing that we are allowed to go to Heaven if we are judged to have lived a good enough life to get in. God will always love us, but he does believe in tough love. That is why he created Hell. When we screw up bad enough (And yes, even though I am Catholic, I still could go there if I am not on my best behavior) and we choose to live life contrary to how God wants us to live, than we could go to Hell. Repentance is a wonderful thing. The human side of me does think that it is unfair for murders, rapists and criminals to be able to repent and be forgiven. Repentance must be sincere, and God knows what is in the soul of the repentor, wether or not they truly are seeking forgiveness and don't want to fall into sin again. I am grateful for the ability to repent, because I know there would be a snowball's chance in Hell ( hardy har har) for me to get to Heaven without it. God wants people to grow and learn from their mistakes. It seems like that is the ONLY way that I have ever learned anything!

I do not mean to offend any Christians....I know some of you are good honest people of faith.
But in answer to this question.....YES!
I didn't read the link you added....but my own experience of a life lived.....YES, Christianity suits criminals very well. Interestingly enough, the criminal does not need to admit his crime to the victim of his crime and can insist that the victim is a liar.....all the time professing a faith in Jesus Christ and salvation through faith in Christ and repenting (meaning to turn away from and not repeat the crime). Oh ya, it's all good for the criminal.

nowhere in the Bible do you ever find Jesus, or God, for that matter, reject anyone's repentence...however, if you choose to commit the sin after you 'say your sorry' willingly then was your repentence sincere?
it was man's sin that hung HIM on the cross, though He did it willingly, He wouldnt have had to if we never sinned...so lets go back to your statement...

that's what I hate about it too.
Some silly idea about some fella 2000 years ago dying, just like all the other criminals of the day and now if you "truly and honestly" believe the carpenter dies for you then you get to chill out forever in a happy place while the people you murdered and raped might be in hell if they didn't accept J.C. and the boys.
Makes it real easy to start wars and kill kids too!

Why did Jezus have to tell you through John in Revelations that Judgement day would come? Why did he have to tell you that The World would be undone? Why did he leave the BOOK of Life unfilled with the truth about our mother-Earth! I do not know of a far greater show-which rides in this universe upon times journey of light-twas easy to call so many things true-especially for men that lived and were in awe by flight-Angels had wings and these men couldn't soar so they dreamed of gods that could make them more-and in doing so they placed hope faith and love-into a place out of this world-in one they dreamed for above-with golden roads and castles and one being upon a thrown-for to all that beliveth in him was mercy shown-and to these ends they would work hard each and every day-knowing that forgiveness would be a better way-but then it happened and they were quite caught off guard-they began to see the violence of a Mother that they did discard-4 she was SECOND TO THEIR GOD-only now her heart now melts

It's odd to think that Hitler is in heaven if he repented at the last moment before his death but all the jews who died in the holocaust are in hell because they weren't christians
