May be Jesus wants him to do so.Or may be his father wants that. Infact Jesus is known as the most rebelious person. he never belived in prexisting theories.

I assume you mean "idiotic" theories. It would seem that coming at a person's core personal beliefs in this style might just predispose them to feel defensive. In other words, if you set out to offend someone and to "irk" them, most likely, you'll succeed.

I submit that, if you approach any person of any faith (or even no faith) and presume that their beliefs are "idiotic," that person will feel defensive.

I further submit that you (and a number of the other responders to this post) really have little understanding of the claims of Jesus of Nazareth. First of all, it is an historic fact that a man named Jesus (Y'shua in Hebrew) lived in the area of modern Israel/Palestine in the early years of the Common Era (approximately 3 BC or BCE to approximately 30 CE or AD). . Extrabiblical means sources outside the Bible itself. Contemporary writers from the Roman Empire wrote of the effect of this teacher from Nazareth. (Some have said there is more historical evidence for the existence of Jesus of Nazareth than there is for George Washington - I don't know if this is true or not, but, suffice it to say, any near east historian worth his or her salt will tell you Jesus did live).

Now, going on the historical fact that he was a real person, one must address the claims he made. To paraphrase former atheist C.S. Lewis (yeah, the "Narnia" guy) in his work "Mere Christianity," Jesus was either a lunatic, or on the order of someone who believes himself to be a poached egg, a liar, meaning he was among the most evil of misleading personages ever to exist, or he was and is Lord. There is simply no other choice. It is for all people to make this decision.

I would beg you to educate yourself a bit more. Lewis's "Mere Christianity" is a great place to start, if you (or any of the other posters here) care to have their notions truly challenged by one of the most lucid of Christian thinkers of the past century. I'll be praying for you.

On a personal note, I am a Christian, and, no, your questions do not "irk" me. However, if some of my brothers or sisters in Christ respond to you irrationally when you question their beliefs, it very well may be because they have not had enough education in the basics of the defense of their faith. Jesus commands us to love God with all our hearts, souls and minds. Heart and soul is pretty easy for most people, but loving God with your mind is a challenge that many people in our modern world, sadly, have little practice in. Again, my prayers are with you. If you honestly and earnestly seek God, He will reveal Himself to you.

What you see is not as real as God. What you see should prove to you their is a God. If you try and tell me we just became without a creator then you need to go rethink some things. . Ask a athiest How the whole universe came to exist and I mean every galaxy and also the ones still forming. Ask how the earth has one set speed it to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth which includes billions of diverse lifeforms (That according to athiest just popped out of nowhere or crawled out of the Ocean then where did the Ocean come from)?. Also ask them to get an empty glass and set it up in their house and go back to the glass 20 or 30 years or more if needed and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it scares them. Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from and the energy to make it go BANG? I'll tell you God created it and he may have made a big bang out of it to put it where he wanted it. I won't dispute that because the Universe is still spreading. All in all the athiests have to many questians to explain themselves that the Bible already explains. I'd rather believe there is a God and die and if there isn't I lose nothing but if there is and I've argued to people he isn't then I lose alot. Think it over friend.

I'm a Christian and I don't get irked when people raise questions about my (and I assume you meant) idiotic theories at all - it just gives me an opportunity to let my relationship with Jesus Christ be shared. So, it's really the one who continues to ask the questions that is probably irked, because that person can't get me to change my mind and it doesn't upset me that they can't or that they try. It just give me opportunity to share the gospel. I believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God who died to save my sins that I might not have to pay the wages of death in an eternal separation from God in hell. Not a theory either, truth.

you are incorrect about jesus never believing in preexisting theories.
He quoted from the old testament all the time during his teachings. As for irking christians. I'm a Christian and you and your questions don't irk me. It's fine, you're fine.

You have no idea how much God loves you, and that makes me sad, because I know you're a good person. I know you have trouble letting him in, but he's there for you and he loves you. You don't have to be afraid. Good luck.

Jesus was the ultimate role model of appropriate behavior. He taught His followers the Word of the Lord. He taught them the greatest command of all: to love each other. He wasn't the least bit rebellious. He followed His Father's will to the point of giving His own life so others would not be lost but have eternal life. He endured pain and torture so that we may be saved. He believed (not in theories) but in the Word of the Lord. I believe in Him with all of my heart.

Put yourself in my place. If I called your beliefs "idiotic theories", wouldn't you be just a little "irked"? We need to learn to accept and tolerate others without prejudice.

The people who spend time on Answers are as varied as the general population. You will find angry people, preachy people, calm rational people - all react to things differently. I have read a lot of the Q/A on there and I find that not all Christians get irked, some do, some don't. We just can't lump everyone together.

The story of Jesus is ironic to mainstream Christianity anyway. Here's a guy who started saying things that were completley against the norm, and completley against what the majority of society believed. He made people think in a way they had never thought before. And we freakin' killed him for it. It appears we have not learned much from this, doesn't it?

First of all, your English is atrocious. You better go to a special tutor to brush up your English and grammar.

Yes, it irks us when half knowledged people ask half baked questions, not knowing what they are asking. Get to know the facts correctly and then ask questions. By asking idiotic questions, you are exposing your lack of wisdom.

Well, with some but few exceptions Christianity is pretty much set in its dogmatic articles of faith. Ergo, if you question them it should be no surprise that they are irked as you put it.
