The Bible says that He never sinned. But is being married a sin?Or sex within marriage? And if they aren't then why would it matter if he was married or not?

Granted the questions I ask are sometimes off the wall and stupid, but they're sometimes to amuse with the off thought of "What if?" instead of actually seeking an answer. Yet I still get believers that take the questions seriously and answer with "You're so stupid!" or "If I were you, I'd kill myself!" To me this seems a very unChristianlike thing to do. I don't go on their questions and tell them they're idiots. I answer their question as best I can without being condescending and moronic. Apparently, they're unable to treat me in kind.
Anyone seen this trend at work?

God gave us free will. We have the ability to choose to do what we want. This is my question though, why do we make the choices we do? We make those choices due to how we were made. God is the one who made us. So really even as I type these words I think did I truly choose to type this or was it simply the way I was made and no matter any amount of my free will I would have ended up typing them anyhow? If any one could give me a good explanation how god didn't make us do everything we do anyhow even though we have free will?

Who knows a good group of educated people who have similar experiences. I am being pestered and persecuted basically because I am a very gifted scientist (mainly legal area) and people up to the government want to force me to cooperate with illegal activities - or repair the damage their illegal activity has done.

I need to just be able to write this of time to time.

Who knows of a good forum - no chatboxes please - forums with moderators.

when they ask you for money? Every time I've been approached on the street by a homeless person, they always give some long drawn out story that is obviously not true. Do they think we'll believe them? Why can't they just ask, "Excuse me ma'am, but I haven't had a drink in two days and I'm getting desperate. Can you spare a dollar?" Honestly, I'd be more inclined to give them money if they would just tell me the truth.

Someone asked why Catholicism is such a difficult denomination and someone stated it is easy and requires little, that there is no emotion in our faith. Where do they get this? I go to Mass often and Adoration as well. I pray my Rosary daily and never have I not experienced a wonder and a deep feeling accompaning it. Every time I attend Mass or Adoration I cry. I never leave feeling anything less than Peace and fufillment. To me it is simple and fufilling.
Peace Be With You,

I cannot see how a man of any large degree of humorous perception can ever be religious — unless he purposely shut the eyes of his mind & keep them shut by force.

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.

Are there people like that? Seems like people I know are on both extremes, they are either hard core Christians or people who would never go to church with different ideologies. And I heard a Christian preacher in a sermon says that the lukewarm Christians are the worst since they make people stumble the most. Any thoughts?

If it is to be established that there is a God, then we have to have good grounds for believing that this is indeed so. Until and unless some such grounds are produced we have literally no reason at all for believing; and in that situation the only reasonable posture must be that of either the negative atheist or the agnostic. So the onus of proof has to rest on the proposition [of theism].

I'm an agnostic not wanting to change anyones religion.

What does the St. Paul mean in this passage:

6 But from those who seemed to be something—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man—for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me.

Galatians 2:6 (New King James Version)

So my question is, if God shows favoritism to no man; assumeing he means men and women; how does this reconcile with his 1 Corinthians 6:9 where St. Paul teaches the following:

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, (NKJV)

So, to everyone, How is it that God doesn't show favoritism, but unrighteous people, including homosexuals, won't get into heaven?

Isn't that, interesting, what are your thoughts on this, if God doesn't allow homosexuals into heaven is God playing favorites with heterosexuals
