Because even Black Sabbath--despite it's name--if you listen to the lyrics were not evil at all! they were tame!
I admit more recent thrasher bands indeed have Satanic lyrics.
.....But you don't hear about them like you did the rock bands of the past that were constantly accused of being evil and satanic when they really weren't!

Yeah, I followed the bad habits and lack of guidelines of my parents: malnourished and lack of sleep since I was 12 and did not change it until recently, meaning I'm probably stunted. However, I just cannot stand standing next to people who are three or so inches taller than I am, male or female. Do most people really regard constitutionally short people as a target of less opportunites of success, attractiveness, etc.? The only advantage I have here is being female.

I don't understand why parents don't discipline their kids anymore? i see so much where the kid is so bad and the parents just tell their kid stop or please don't do that and the kid doesn't listen and they wonder why the kid is so bad. Spank the kid. why are parents so afraid to spank their kids? I don't agree with abuse, but if the kid deserves it then spank them. I got the spoon to belts, to yard sticks when I was younger and I'm not violant or bad anymore. I learned if i don't behave i'm going to get my A** beat depending on how bad i was. or when kids come home dressed like goths or with their pants to their knees. If i came home looking like that I would have gotten some sense knocked into me because people judge you by the way you dress and if you dress sloppy then people are going to steriotype you wether you fit that sterotype or not.

I ask this as a Christian, because from reading the book of Galatians it seems like the apostle Paul makes it fairly clear that there is no need for the Christian to circumcise anymore, and Paul even seems to imply that if you are still circumcising, you don't understand what the message of the gospel is all about.

So why is it still done SPECIFICALLY by some Christians? (I'm not asking about other religions, but specifically Christians.) Is there a Biblical reason, or is it only done for a medical reason? And if so, what are the reasons?

Note: I'm NOT asking to offend or anything... I'm just curious if there is a reasoning behind why some Christians still have this done (I've gotten into the habit of adding disclaimers to my questions, as I somehow manage to make people angry with my questions, even though all I'm doing is seeking out information.)

think about it, they would justify owning slaves with it, beating slaves too....., selling your daughter into slavery, killing your own children, making women wear veils or else shave their heads, sacrificing animals, giving suspected homosexuals and fornicators the death penalty, and on and on.
I mean, I am pretty happy they only just think silly myths are literal like the flood, Noah and Adam and Eve and disregard the laws!

Many of Christians quote Romans chapter 1:28-31; and 1 Corinthians 6:9 to illustrate the New Testement view regarding the homosexual issue. This is all from St. Paul. What changed from Leviticus 20:13 to Romans 1:28-31 and 1 Corinthians 6:9, that they are to not be put to death?

Indeed, it appears to me on a plain reading of these Bible verses that something must have changed in the way God feels about this issue.

Several years ago it was very common and had a "cool" distinction to it. However, nowadays it seems most people can't stand smoking whether its the health aspects or activity itself.

Do you think this same trend in thought can be applied to obesity? Will general opinion change so much that people will alter their eating habits like many smokers have done? In essence, do you think down the road obesity will correct itself or will it continue to impact us unless external measures are taken (i.e., government activity)?

i read abook written by Allison Dubois--who is supposedly gifted with the ability to communicate with those who are in a different dimension. I lost my father 6 yrs ago. We had a difficult relationship because I was always fiercely independent and he had a struggle w/not being able to mold me. He was a good father and in the last yr of his life, we were "coming around," and I was able to bend a little--he did too. Then it was all over like a split second. i'm a mom now and understand him much better. I wish there was a real way to communicate w/him--to know that he is at peace and still around us. I want to believe it, but there is a skeptical part in me. Has anyone out there actually had contact w/a deceased loved one? Please respond. thanks.

i am a gay guy and my good friend Buffy's fine as hell boyfriend came on to me when she was in Greece for 10 days . he and i hung out smokes some budda and was at my place chillin ,,(i am a very straight looking gay guy).just talking and i went to the bathroom ,when i came out he was standing at the door and we came within 5 inches of each other never thinking this would ever happened i paniced. ok we are not talking about some guy whos a ugly guy. it was very hard ,but i didn't do anything. what would you have done?
