I was raised Anglican, but have explored other Protestant sects, Roman Catholicism, Pentacostalism (& other forms of Evangelism), the Unity-type "hippie Christians" (with whom I don't fit), and have yet to find one that fits. I know I love Jesus, belong to Him, and in my own, flawed, possibly pathetic way, am following Him the best I can. My problem is, The Bible is often quite cryptic and most of the folks interpreting it cherrypick or answer with too much of one type of dogma or another. I mean, if God allows for all manner of flaws in His creation, & won't interfere with free will lest we all be little more than pets, then it'd follow that these same flaws would even have to be allowed in the process of hearing, writing, and perpetuating His word; therefore, how much of The Bible as we know it actually conveys what He wanted?) Is there a Christian church oriented towards addressing these issues w/ out being overly flexible/ permissive OR strict/ dogmatic? If so, WHAT IS IT?! Thanks.
