Sometimes you ask some pretty good questions. Sometimes not. This one intrigues me because I think that whatever you put first in your life is what you inadvertently worship. Even if you think you have not made a choice, you still have.

Some will, strangely enough.

They're not used to thinking things through; if someone in authority tells them that no one is really atheist, then they'll believe it, even though even a tiny bit of thought on the subject makes the idea look ridiculous.

No, but you do worship something. You can worship a school of thought, a teacher, a job, a girlfriend, money..... everyone worships SOMETHING.

Many would. It's happened to me plenty of times. A lot of them even like to tell me that I actually DO believe in gods, oops, I mean THEIR god. There's no reasoning with people like that.

Not a Christian here, but we ALL worship SOMETHING, even if it's anoter god/pantheon, money, women, alcohol, our dog... get my drift?

Quite possibly. A lot of them can't grasp the concept of not believing in god. They think atheists are just "rebelling". *sigh*
