SURE, IF YOU BACKSLIDE FAR ENOUGH.

We can't "lose" it, but we can throw it away by turning our back on God. Read Hebrews Chapter 6 (talks about losing our salvation), then read Romans Chapter 6 (talks about how grace should not be an excuse for us to sin but should bring us into obedience)

My Bible says "Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." I know people will argue from now til the end of time about it, but I believe God's grace is a "free gift" that he gave to us, not because we deserve it, but because of His love for us. I believe God's love is endless and undying, and I do not believe that once you have accepted Jesus you can lose that free gift.

I do believe, as Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." So we obey His commandments out of love and respect for what He did for us; not obeying the commandments is not a good thing, but I don't think it will make you "lose" your salvation.

Hebrews 6:4-8 ...shows that if someone has the holy spirit, the heavenly call, and they willfully fall away, it is impossible to revive them to repentance.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we practice sin willfully, after having received the accurate knowledge of truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left.

Rev. 3:19 All those for whom I have affection I reprove and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent. (said Jesus)

The answer is YES.

It depends on if we were ever really saved... Believe with your heart, confess with your mouth, and the fruit of the spirit will be seen. A lot of people pray the prayer of salvation; however, dont truly believe. It is a leap of faith. The best one I ever took. God bless.........

Yes, but you can gain it back. Many people believe that if they believe in their religious leader that they are instantly saved. One little who believed in Jesus threw rocks at a boy on a back (recently). When the boy went to attack her she said, "God will protect me." However he did not stop her body from being harmed. People should not blindly believe that since they have faith that they are unable to be hurt.

If you are talking about heaven, then you still must lead a good life to get into heaven. It is once again not a simple matter of saying that you believe.

I think this is a good question. Paul wrote that there were some who were "following after false teachers", and because they had, they "shipwrecked their faith". But there is another verse in the bible that reads "if they say they were one of us, but go out from amongst us, they were never one of us". Jesus said that no one can "snatch us" out of the Father's hand. But, can you "jump out" of His protection? Can you willfully turn your back on Jesus Christ? I suppose so. But does this mean you were truly born again to begin with? The verse above, that says, "they were never really one of us" suggests not.

What I know for sure is that Jesus promised, if I remain in Him, He shall remain in me. That is what I intend to do.

It clearly states in the Bible that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior you are forever his. It's like you are drowning when someone comes around and saves you. That person can't unsave you because he already did and can't do whats been done. Does that help any?

No, What would have been the point of Jesus dying if it could be taken away?
