I see nothing squirmy in the responses, and evolution is 100 percent all the way.
And if you want an end to "the bickering now with the evolution vs creationism wars" then why did you ask your question?
Evolution is a scientific fact that contradicts your purely religious beliefs. And it is not the only one.
Evolution says nothing about any God or gods. Science does not make comments on God or gods. And that's how it should be. Science makes comments about the material universe, and that's how it should be.
It is religion that stirs up trouble, not science.
And it is a misconception that humans "are descended from monkeys." Evolution does not proceed in a ladder-like fashion, it proceeds in a growing-bush like fashion. Monkeys, apes, and humans are branches off a main branch: at some point, humans began to develop away from a common ancestor into their own form and genus and species.
Christians think they are being reasonable and non-confrontational when they make such remarks as "evolution cannot be proven" or "it's only a theory" and other such remarks to indicate that all we have is a difference of opinion. They don't seem to realize that this is confrontational and a denial that evolution is a proven scientific fact.
They start and end with the idea that evolution does not have to be taken as real. They demand that a relgious belief be given the same status as a scientific fact - in fact, they want religion to be science and they want science to be religion.
Not gonna happen.

You're supposed to be any better? The vast majority of your "answers" are something along the lines of "uh-huh" and lame one-line insults. I recall just yesterday someone asked "Why doesn't god speak to people anymore?" A perfectly legitimate question, one that begs an answer. Yours was:
"do you hear voices? is that what this is about?"
Yeah, real insightful, there. You know... I'm no bible scholar but I seem to recall some story about throwing stones... what was it again?
Edit: Firstly, I am certainly not your "honey". We're clear on that I hope? Secondly, you obviously missed the part where it was a perfectly legitimate, and actually fairly insightful question. God used to speak to people all the time, like right out loud, and in awe-inspiring ways, according to the Bible, but he no longer does. It was a good question. A question that deserved a good answer. You gave insulting crap. You don't want people to stop bickering. You want the last word. Good luck with that, lol.

I don't feel atheists really know how to define the true. God does love us and purposed us to live forever on a paradise earth. Atheists only see the suffering, wars, pressures and problems that we as humans are going through. So, to help an atheist, ask them to just look at creation in general. There is no way these elements in this world came here by chance. There was an intelligent designer. Then if they can see the beauty of creation then have them look for the true God Jehovah in the pages of the Bible. Hopefully they will then develop a relationship with God and believe in him.

I've noticed people saying stuff like 'God sucks' and then they complain about the answers they get.
I think if someone asks a sensible question they deserve a sensible answer, whether you agree with their beliefs (or lack of beliefs) or not. On the other hand if you say something offensive about someones religion you have no right to complain about the answers you get.
I think people need to respect others beliefs, whatever they may be.

Atheists build their knowledge on facts rather than beliefs. That's why they don't squirm - they research. There is a fundamental difference between those. Imagine a child trying to tell it's mother that children are brought to life by a large bird. The mother's knowledge may be well beyond child's understanding, so what can she say? A lullaby perhaps ?

Well, here's how I see it. I am a Christian and do believe in Jesus Christ. I'm not going to debate which side is right, although I have my beliefs. My answer would be this...Prove to me that God isn't real. Show me in the Bible where it contradicts itself. Show me proof that my God isn't real. Of course, I'll get the answer: prove to me that He is...Perhaps that is where faith comes in for everyone. I cannot physically say here is God, nor can I have Him call you. But what I can do is look at the sunset everyday, or see the birth of a newborn who nine months ago wasn't even there. So, there you have it. If you can't prove to me that He is real, then you have no case, as Atheist do not. Atheist offer a lot of scripture references to disprove God, but they are always out of context and hold no water. On the evolution deal, if we came from monkeys and evolved from them, why are they still around? To evolve goes from one thing to another. I also wanted to say that Christians are sometimes put into a bad light, and it is our fault. But not every Christian is like that!!! I also saw one response about "why doesn't God speak to people anymore?" He DOES speak, but are you taking enough time to listen? He isn't going to always speak in a dramatic way, but he will speak to you and direct your actions if you let Him. I hope you have a blessed day.

I read the answer from yoda green. Aside from being irritated at your silly premise of being descended from apes, which is never the contention of evolutionists, atheist or otherwise, he gave you a comprehensive answer and further information by link. If anything was a childlike response, it appears to be your attempt to gloat over what you mistakenly believe to be a victory for your opinion. I see no such victory.

How are your turning the tables on them? I am not a atheist, but I respect their point of view, a very scientific and logical one if you ask me. I myself am a Heathen (capital "H"), following the ancient pagan and cultural Folkway of my Scandinavian Ancestors.
Fundamentalist Xtians use circular "logic" and usually their only source for their opinions and beliefs is their own propaganda source. They have no exterior proof, no writings they can cite outside their own censored and rewritten bible to prove their points. If asked how they know God exists, they will say that the bible says so. . .or that one only need look around nature and see proof. But when I look around nature I see proof of evolution and science. . .not some jewish desert god.
It may come as a surprise to many that while I am a hardline Polytheist, I am also a believer in science and in no way attempt to disprove scientific facts. One can believe in whatever they wish, and still have a scientific mindset.
Perhaps if you Xtians listened fully to what people have to say. . .not merely to find holes in an argument in the hopes of destroying one's philosophic construct, you all might be taken seriously.

Ha ha...on majority christians dont fully follow their own teachings, and still try to convert others. God's is the answer to everything just like Zeus was the bringer of lighting. and most christians are arrogant, even to those who actually live a good life. Then again, I'm not atheist, this is only a website and won't solve this war, no one knows for sure if there is a god, and most importantly....I just earned two points for saying something we all know..Thank you for your time

No I haven't noticed that.
But I agree - I'd love to see the christians stop using this Q&A (which stands for Question & Answer) as a forum for preaching, and for everyone to stop asking stupid questions which are worded only to annoy someone or other.
Until then - which may never happen - I'm going to continue avoiding questions like this. For the most part - like crack, this section is addictive.
