i read somewhere that the reason why jesus had to be born of a virgin is because all babies who are conceived sexually are born into sin. if this is true, then it stands to reason that all of the test tube babies are born sin-free as well.
it might be argued that the means by which we we procure the "ingredients" is unholy (i.e.- the father needs to pleasure himself into a cup). but i don't think this is true anymore, at least,,, it doesn't need to be,, not these days anyway. we've hit a level of science where it's not hard at all to extract the sperm and egg surgically. and if it's important, the mother and father can easily be virgins.
so my question is, are we at an age where we can create a baby free of original sin?
