essentially the same word

iThis is like Saul being renamed Paul by Jesus because Saul would go to the gentiles
Saul - Hebrew
Paul - Greek

same way Jesus, Joshua and Yeshua are really the same word
Jesus - Greek
Joshua - English
Yeshua - Hebrew
essientially the same name

also similar works in Greek and Hebrew might include
Messiah - Hebrew annointed like with oil in a religious sense
Christ - Greek for annointedin a kingly corwning sense

Jehovah however is porbaly originally from a germanic traliteration of the vowels of Adonai stuck betwen the consonants of Yahweh or YHWH as a pronunciation note to remmember to say adoniah (lord) and not the name of God as a precaustion of respect and Jehovah not likely an original word and most linguists say so

Yeshua is His name! That is what His earthly father called Him, His Mother, His Disciples, all that new Him. Yeshua what a beautiful name.

Now why wouldn't the devil want us to call Yeshua by His real name?
Most people who grasp the true name of Yeshua don't revert back to Jesus, unless they are conversing with those who don't understand. If there is power in His name, how much power is there when we call on Him, or take authority in His proper name?

Here is one little bit of info- the closest word in Hebrew that comes to the name Jesus is one that means horse. Hebrew is the language that God spoke, it is the language that Yeshua spoke on this earth, it is a very special language, for it is Gods language.

It just got Greek-ified along the way. After all, the New Testament was written in Greek.

Muslims call Him "the prophet Issa".

Seriously, I often pray "ha'Shem Yeshua" because the original Name has not been taken in vain so much, and I believe that it is stronger.

Early Greek translators called Him Ioseus, early Arabic translators called him Isa Ibn Miriam--Jeshua son of Miriam. Please remember that English is a conglomeration of Latin and German among others. It is the last language to evolve out of the nations fragmented out of the Greco/Roman mould. It defies linguistic law, in that is has 26 as opposed to 24 letters (esoteric data). The c and s interchange, the "i" and "y" exchange places to such an extent that only "masters" can decipher the hidden meanings of words. The birth of racial prejudice is buried beneath certain facts: 1. The ancient Hebrews--12 tribes, were mostly black. According to prophecy, both the northern and southern tribes would undergo double portions of 400-plus years of slavery. Those of the north were enslaved in cool countries-Babylon, Persia, Germany, Poland, and Russia-etc. Those of the south were enslaved in hot and southern countries--Ethiopia, Sudan, the Caribbean, America--all gentile seed on former pagan Greece and Rome, according to prior prophecies. So, to remove the guilt, the myth of superiority had to be invented. Gentiles blamed the Jews, who were mostly black, for killing Jeshua. Florentine painters changed his features and his name to fit their image. They then had a new "version" of Christianity--completely different from what the Jewish Christians practiced in the Book of Acts. That is one of Satan's biggest triumphs, kidnapping the church from its true Jerusalem foundation and placing it on the Gentile foundation of Rome. As a result, all sorts of erroneous teachings crept into God's church, and the only person who ever defeated all of Satan’s demons is now getting demonized from all and sundry. Satan is having, not a field day, but a field century. There are too many scriptures to quote. Most people do not read the quotes anyway--just check the many books and the Torah Codes that are revealing these prophecies.

When they translated bible from greek to english, they translated him as "Jesus" (you should capitalise his name) and we're just used to it. we can also call him Yeshua, Joshua or however u want, We call him Yesu in our language.. that is 'Tamil' an Indian Language. But the bottom line is,

Roses smell sweet not because we call them rose :) call them Thorns, they will still smell sweet.

Its not in the name, Just call him Yeshua, Jesus, Yehwah, father, or friend he'll always listen to you and answer you.
