Since joining this group i have read some of the most narrow minded comments toward gay and bi sexual people, claiming to speak from a religious stance. It is people like you that give religion a bad name, if you dont like something.....keep it to your self. i dont think they teach this in scriptures, you are not here on earth to judge, that is God's place is it not?? or do you all think you are above what is taught, maybe you have delusions and think you are god and have the right to judge??

I'm not saying people do not have a right to an opinion, but people are asking geuine questions on here, some of them come from scared and confused people and instead of giving their opinion to the question at hand they focus on one tiny part and that is their sexuality. if someone does not like gay people....fair enough, all entitled to opinion, but why use God?? God does not tell his followers to go round and pass judgement, in fact the opposite is true.

Some people who called themselves 'christian' quote bible verses to support their racist, discriminatory and homophobic views. They are at best hypocrites, and at worst hate-spewing bigots. Their actions go completely against their teachings. WWJD?

Are you seriously suggesting that people who answer questions have no right to disagree with other peoples opinion. For instance, Gay Bishops. You either agree or disagree with them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether you or they like it or not. That is what free speech is all about. It would be different if the person who disagreed advocated violence against them. Take abortion, a very emotive subject. Again you can agree or disagree with it, but again you are entitled to your opinion. It has nothing whatsoever to do with religion. So, let the debate roll on and let people give their honest opinions on any subject whether you like it or not and keep the stupid religious argument which you introduced out of it..............

I agree with your stance.
My answer is thus they think that they can change something God ordained. God made us with these desires. If you look in the bible you will notice that the laws are written with a legal stance and in law what is not written as expressly forbidden is understood to be condoned. The law of Leviticus is clear that anal sex is a sin because the only way it was considered proper to lay with a woman was through penetrative sex. So a man laying with a man as he would a woman clearly indicates anal sex. Therefore the bible thumpers have a slight leg to stand on there as regards to that one act. It is interesting to note that women are not mentioned at all so it stands to reason that men could have intimate sexual relationships with other men the same as women could have intimate sexual relationships with other women.
In the new testament the only mention of sexual relationships between the same genders was in reference to temple prostitution where men would go against their natural tendencies and have sexual relations with other men. So it stands to reason that if a man is naturally attracted to another man then it would be unnatural for him to try to force himself to be straight. It was not the act so much as the going against his natural tendencies that was condemned in the verse.

Most of the ones making the comments are just young and stupid and they get the attitude from the adults that they go to church with. Most of them aren't stupid, just ignorant, and they don't realize that what they are doing is wrong.

As for the older ones who do know the diffrence between right and wrong, they will burn in Hell for judging.

Indeed, these people take religion horribly out of context when they manipulate God's words. God is everywhere, our Lord with us always, if he did not approve of what is happening, he would do something about it would he not?

Well said! The New Testament preached love and understanding, to 'love thy neighbour as thyself' and 'judge not lest you be judged' it is not up to anyone else to judge the rights of a consenting adult loving another consenting adult.
