What do these people do with their lives that they have like 80,000 points!?!?!! I mean, really! Whne you think about that, it's really a scary thought!

Go to "My Q&A" in the upper right, then on the right, click Leaderboard. One dude has over 100,000 points. He looks like he' sin his late 40's and way too into Yahoo Answers. His one entry on his page about how he got recognized in public is hysterical!!! He hates when it happens!!! LOL

I totally though the same thing! Don't these people have jobs or does their job revolve around answering these questions all day?? To take it one step further, why does the beauty and style section leader look as though they came out of a sewer? No disrespect, but do we really screen who we are getting our "advice" from???

It is true that they have to put quite some time on this however it is not that they do not do anything else.
I can tell with my experience. I posted question on Yahoo! Answer on 7 April and then starting answering sometime in May beginning. I have a full time job and hardly spend anytime during week on internet at home. With all this I was able to reach level 6 within 2-3 months. So if you answer consistenly with quality answer you can achieve this.
Just for information Kevin who is topper in leaderboard has considered to take retirement from Yahoo! Answer after he reached 100000 level.

I think some people are very addicted to Yahoo! Answers. Its fun to go on but not so much that you accumulate that many points. I think its best when done in moderation because sometimes if I've been on here too long its not as much fun.

I'm with you there! I'm jonesin' for that many points, because I'm sure they'll be on some free gifts list or something... But still thinking "DANG" that's a whole lot of just sitting in front of your computer in your tighty whiteys day and night.
