I ask because there seems to be not much importance placed on things like no graven images, and not working on the sabbath, etc? Does the new testament supercede this somehow?

I heard on the radio the other day that a ring is a symbol of eternity. Therefor if an engaged couple seperate or a married couple get divorced the ring should be disposed off otherwise it would put both parties in a situation of spiritual bondage. It was suggested that the ring be sold or given away. What do you think?

It was told by the bible that adam and eve had two kids Abel and Cain, and it was also said that many people came after Abel and Cain, How did Abel and Cain have kids, I mean isn't it necessary for the opposite sex to be present.
Who was there with Abel and Cain to help generations of people to come?

the Bible's teachings) and I would appreciate Christian's answers here. We say we must ALL BE GOOD CHRISTIANS and therefore, we will all go to heaven, etc. My question is...if you live by God's word (Bible) and hang on to all of it - then why do you think we could have changed things? I mean the wars, etc. The Bible tells us these things WILL HAPPEN. So in reality, we have NO control over it anyway, right? I am not concerned about the world ending or anything like that. I'd like an answer to that question though. We can't change it if God told us this is the way it's going to be. Just not "when" --- and it may not be now. If you are a new generation person, you an say "look around you" and I can say to you "look around you" 100s of years ago - there was devestating weather and war too. People worried then that the world was going to end. They've always thought it was coming in their lifetime (when it didn't). Things CAN get worse ya know. You may not think so - but they CAN.

my husband has zero tolerence for for people that are black. he uses the word ****** like i use the word food. i was raised in mississippi, and i have friends that are black. my youngest son is mixed hispanic. when my husband talks this way i feel like he;s delibertlly trying to hurt me. ant suggestions?

can you give me the name of a christian who recently blew up innocent people chanting the name of jesus?
i never heard of a jew bombing a German bus station in the name of moses
i still got to hear of a buddhist blowing up people in the name of siddartha gotama, and i still got to hear of a hindu blowing up a school chanting lord brahmas name.
now why are muslims blowing up innocent people in allah's name?

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all beautiful religions. While I see Jews, Christians, and Muslims getting along peacefully in my job regularly, there is clearly tension among believers of these relgions, which leads to much suffering.

Can more be done to bring people together? If so, what?
