If p = q + r and p <> s, then q + r - s <> 0. Your if statement is logically false, therefore no matter what your conclusion is, it is a true statement.

No, you already stated in the beginning that "p=q+r and not s" so p couldn't equal s. I think there is a problem with you equations.
