I love that you asked this question...We live in a world where everyone wants to be on top..We judge each other based on weight, race, religion, etc...If you don't make a certain amount of money you are treated different, if you gay or lesbian you are treated different.. And if your African-American you are treated different..I am and I know because I went to go visit a school where it was predominately white and I was treated different.. I don't understand why people are so mean to one another...we all evolved from two human beings named Osiris and Isis...6,000-7,000 years before Adam and Eve..

Because our kids are being raised that way. I also think the Christian arena has a lot to do with it. They preach love, understanding and acceptance, but yet turn people away because of sexual orientation, different religious beliefs and other reasons. I don't know what prejudice and bigotry is like in other countries, but here (where Christianity has a stronghold), I believe Christians are creating a lot of that prejudice and bigotry. They don't like to think about that or even believe that they are contributing to the problem, but they do.
As far as other bigots, I do think it has a lot to do with the way you were raised. Haters are raising haters. Kids don't naturally hate. They are probably the most tolerant people on earth. It's not the kids that have issues with gays or people with different ethnic backgrounds (unless they were raised that way). Kids are very accepting and curious about others different than they are, which leads to questions and ultimately to understanding. We're our own worst enemies. We're breeding hate.

The world holds more love than it does prejudice and bigotry. The prejudice and bigotry is so horrendous to those of us who love and accept, that it seems overwhelming. Sadly, there always have been, and always will be, people who will not tolerate the differences in others. The good news is that many, many people want to live peacefully and accept others for who they are.

It is amazing how much prejudice and hate is still in the world. It's all over this forum! I don't think all people will ever be completely accepting of other races or most things that are different from what they are used too. It's sad to know that so many people still look down on other people for no reason other than the color of their skin, their sexual orientation etc.

Generally , prejudice and bigotry were taught. Caucasion people (white) think they are the higher power. But we know that is not true . It's just too bad that we aren't all the same color, shape and sizes , to were we are all alike. WE are not treated the same , and we don't treat people alike . I don't think that people will ever live as one on this planet. But they will have no choice if they make it to heaven and stand before our maker.

Because people force their beliefs and personal morals on others. People believe that because they feel so secure in their morals or religion, they are the right ones, ad everything else is wrong.
If we all realised how much hurt we create by doing so, the world would be a better place.

Personal pride. Everybody is concerned about their personal rights, rather than about their neighbor. Love thy neighbor is a philosophy that is an affront to most people. I agree with you that we should make an honest effort to get along with one another, but this requires that each of us put aside the idea that we have personal rights over other people. Jesus loves you.

IF THERE WAS NO EVIL IN THE WORLD, NO ONE WOULD UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF GOOD.
*If there were no lies, who would know what truth meant?
*If there was no poverty, who of us would be considered rich?
*If time no longer existed, would we still find value in living our lives?
*If we had no failures, what is there to look forward to in success?
*If the world had no downfalls, and no unpredictable tendencies, nothing would change.
*If we fail to dream for things that are obviously beyond our control, if we try not to want the things we want, what do we have to live for?
*If there was no devils on earth or beyond it, would we truly value the reign and power of God?

Because more and more people are caring. More and more people are becoming self-centered. More and more people think that they are better than others. More and more people lack concern for what really counts. More and more people are becoming very individualistic. More and more people are losing their moral values.
